Bio: Taken from the streets of Liberia and raised to be a soldier at a young age, the boy named "Jack" was a military veteran and ruthless killer before he even hit puberty. Deceived by the Patriots, the very people who found and reared him, he would team up with Solid Snake to take them and their leader, Solidus Snake, down. He would later gain cybernetic augmentations to various parts of his body, becoming a cyborg soldier capable of superhuman feats and mass-slaughter. Long gone was the boy named "Jack" and the cyborg warrior named Raiden was born.

Special Attacks:

-Ninja Run: Raiden sprints forward at high speeds, slashing repeatedly. How far he goes and how often he slashes all varies on the strength of the attack button.

-Razor Slide: Raiden slides low across the ground and can follow up with one of three attacks.

LIGHT: Back-slide with a light slash as he retreats. Does little damage, but creates distance and moves fast.

MEDIUM: Rising slash. Can catch airborne foes and knock standing foes into the air.

HEAVY: Break-dance spin kick. Does great damage, but lasts awhile and is punishable when blocked.

-Cyborg Weapon: Depending on the button used, Raiden will use one other weapon to attack the foe.

L'etranger: Raiden whirls a polearm in several wide arcs. Not particularly strong, but has a long range.

Dystopia: Raiden throws a magnetized sai at the opponent that stuns them and has the option of pulling him towards them afterward.

Bloodlust: Raiden winds up and throws a single, powerful swipe with a pair of scissor-blades. Slow, but powerful.

-Rain Transformed: Raiden charges his body with electricity and the next special move he uses strengthens slightly, gaining the ability to do electric damage as well. He can only use this on one attack and must have a brief charge time before he can use this move again.

-Iaijutsu: Raiden sheathes his blade, then swiftly draws it in a single powerful strike that can knock the opponent back with a successful hit.

Throws

FORWARD: Raiden jumps to knee the opponent in the face, then sweep-kicks them, knocking them off their feet.

BACKWARD: Raiden latches onto the opponent's upper body from behind, then drops forward to send them tumbling away.

Super Moves

-Ripper Mode: Raiden cackles madly, then gains a red aura and swaps out his traditional HF katana for Murasama. For about five seconds, his attacks are stronger, faster, and have a longer reach. He will also not flinch if he's attacked, enabling him to power through attacks, but he will have a severe lack of durability in this short span of time.

-Blade Mode: Raiden gains a blue aura, his eye glowing red, and unleashes a blinding array of sword strikes. After a set amount, he will catch the blade with his foot and throw another flurry of slashes. He will finish it with a whirling backhand slash that knocks the opponent backward.

-Lightning Fury: Raiden crackles with electricity, then rushes the opponent. On successful contact, he will unleash a series of slashes with his HF katana that leave behind lightning trails and the opponent keeps getting pushed back with each hit. Raiden finishes the combo by dashing past the opponent, sword drawn, then sheathes it, the opponent consumed in a bolt of lightning that floors them the minute the handguard hits the sheath.

FATALITIES:

-Scatterbrained: Raiden takes his HF katana and lops his opponent's head off, sending it flipping into the air. When it comes down to head-level, Raiden unleashes a lightning-fast array of slashes with his blade, finishing it with a thrusting kick that causes the head's pieces to spray backward, their headless body falling back.

-Zandetsu: Raiden takes a swipe at his opponent and, once he connects, time will appear to slow down and he will slash the opponent at high speeds and at any conceivable angle. When time returns to its normal pace, Raiden sheathes his blade as the opponent falls into several pieces, their faces going slack before they do.

Intro: Raiden steps into the arena, unsheathes his HF katana, which is sparking with electricity, then swings it once before positioning it in front of him.

Outro: Raiden flings blood off his HF katana, wipes down the length of the blade with his inner elbow, then sheathes the blade, the camera zooming in on his face with his eye glowing red.

Prologue: The cyborg soldier, Raiden, may have severed his ties to Maverick, but he still had more than a few connections that came to him when strange things began to occur all over the world. Strange portals were popping up and taking in those that were either brave enough to venture into their depths or those that went in, unexpectedly. Not wanting people to fall victim to them, Raiden decided to take up Maverick's offer, so long as he had a companion with him. With Blade Wolf at his side, Raiden set foot into the portal and both were transported into the world of Death Battle, to fight for the safety of their world and others like it.

Rival Cutscene:

(Amidst a brightly-lit desert cityscape, Raiden springs down from a buildingtop accompanied by his trusted companion, Blade Wolf, who sprints on ahead of him, Raiden in hot pursuit. Raiden eventually loses sight of the mechanical canine, but they still have one way of maintaining contact.)

INCOMING CODEC CALL

Blade Wolf: RAIDEN, FROM WHAT MY ANALYTICAL PROGRAMMING HAS OBSERVED, WE ARE GOING IN CIRCLES.

Raiden: I could tell. Think there's any way out of this endless loop?

Blade Wolf: AFFIRMATIVE. IT APPEARS THAT THE ONLY EXCEPTION FOR PROGRESSING IS TO ENGAGE IN COMBAT AND EMERGE VICTORIOUS.

Raiden: Winning battles, huh?

Blade Wolf: AFFIRMATIVE.

Raiden: So, if I fought against some random car and trashed it, would that count?

Blade Wolf: THAT IS ILL-ADVISED. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT FIGHTING AN INANIMATE OBJECT WOULD COUNT AS A LEGITIMATE VICTORY.

Raiden: Remind me to install a sense of humor in you sometime.

Blade Wolf: I UNDERSTAND YOUR ATTEMPTS AT HUMOR. I MERELY DO NOT FIND THEM ENTERTAINING. (brief pause, as though noticing something)

Raiden: What is it, boy?

Blade Wolf: PAYING NO MIND TO YOUR OBSCURE ATTEMPT AT REFERENTIAL HUMOR, I AM DETECTING A NEW LIFE FORM THAT IS CLOSE TO YOUR GENERAL LOCATION. THIS VICTORY IS LIKELY TO LET US PROCEED CLOSER TO THE TOWER. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Raiden: Got it. I'll take it from here.

(Raiden continues down the road, following a radar signal via his visor and turns a corner to intercept them, springing with his HF katana drawn for the kill. He is met with two sets of three claws that meet his blade without breaking...and they belong to a familiar mutant.)

Raiden: Wha-YOU?!

Wolverine: Well, well, if it ain't the snow-white tinman...

(The two separate and Wolverine takes a swipe at Raiden, missing him as Raiden performs a backflip, lands on his feet, and takes another sword stance.)

Raiden: How the hell did you grow your head back?

Wolverine: Not seein' how that's your business, bub!

(The two lunge at each other, Raiden's blade creating a huge gash in Wolverine's gut while Wolverine's claws catch Raiden on the shoulder. Raiden doesn't appear to mind, while Wolverine's own wound quickly heals over.)

Raiden: Right...it's all coming back. Gotta go for your head or we'll be at this for some time.

Wolverine: Yeah. Good luck pulling THAT off again, princess. (sharpens claws) Now come on!

(Wolverine hunches forward, ready to spring, while Raiden angles his HF katana up and at an angle. Fade to Black.)

Ending: Raiden was successful in stopping the interdimensional chaos, putting down the competition and the mastermind behind it all without a problem. However, with one victory, there was a loss as well. On learning that secrets to his cybernetics and HF weaponry were leaked by something called the Weapon X Project, Raiden set out on a rampage through the organization and its members. With all of them beaten and butchered, Raiden had finally given in to his murderous tendencies. Jack. WAS. BACK. And worst of all? He was here to stay.
