Bio: Created by Eggman's grandfather, Dr. Gerald Robotnik, Shadow was created to be both the ultimate life form and a living weapon against the alien race known as the Black Arms. He, at first, sought to destroy mankind to avenge the death of Maria, his closest friend and Gerald's granddaughter, but ultimately chose to save the Earth to fulfill her last wish to make mankind happy. He has since resurfaced with little memory of his past and now leads his own life as a wanderer and a rival to the legendary Sonic the Hedgehog.

Special Attacks:

-Chaos Snap: Command Grab. Shadow vanishes and the opponent staggers as a series of impact effects flash into being. Shadow then reappears behind them for a final burst of light that sends them forward.

-Chaos Control: Shadow vanishes in a flash of green light and reappears at another part of the arena.

-Chaos Spear: Shadow pulls back his hand, then throws a spear of yellow energy at his opponent. If charged properly, he can unleash a fan-shaped, upward-going volley.

-Chaos Spindash: Shadow curls into a spinning ball, gathers green energy, then launches himself at his opponent. The strength, speed, and distance covered can be altered depending on button use and charge time.

-Chaos Nightmare: Shadow clenches his fists to his side and closes his eyes before putting his hands forward and sending forth a small barrage of purple, pulsating energy spheres. Relatively short in terms of range, but useful in close-quarters combat.

Throws

FORWARD: Shadow grabs the opponent's face and fires a point-blank Chaos Spear from his palm, sending the opponent onto their back.

BACKWARD: Shadow uses Chaos Control to warp behind the foe, then kicks them in the back of the head twice, the second hit knocking them on their face.

Super Moves:

-Chaos Blast: Shadow glows bright red, shouts "Death to all who oppose me!", then clenches his entire body before throwing out his arms like wings. A blast of red energy bursts forth and anyone caught in it will suffer multiple hits and be blasted back.

-Chaos Control mk. 2: Shadow unleashes a wave of energy that inverts the color scheme of the field and stops the enemy in time. This gives him time to land a few hits and combos, but it can only last a maximum of five to ten seconds and costs a good portion of his Super Meter.

-Super Shadow: The Chaos Emeralds swiftly circle Shadow and his fur turns the color of platinum with a yellow aura. In this state, he is completely invulnerable, and his strength and speed are amplified. His Chaos attacks become more pronounced and do more damage, and his physical attacks become imbued with green energy. This form wears off after a few seconds.

FATALITIES:

-Chaos Impale: Shadow forms a very long Chaos Spear in his hand, then lobs it at the opponent, impaling them through the abdomen. Another spear impales them through the chest, and Shadow finishes by stabbing a final spear into the side of their head. The opponent staggers, then falls sideways, landing on the butt of the spear and sliding down its length.

-Chaos Compress: Shadow forms a small sphere in his hand, then rams it into the opponent's chest. At first nothing happens, then Shadow snaps his fingers. In an instant, a small wormhole expands outward and absorbs any flesh and bone in its vicinity before vanishing. The opponent's head and arms fall to the ground, followed shortly by what's left of their body.

Intro: Shadow appears in a flash of green light, his eyes closed and his arms folded. He opens his eyes, gives the opponent a scathing look, then takes a battle pose.

Outro: Shadow takes a Chaos Emerald in hand, tosses it into the air, catches it, then holds it outward.

Prologue: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, even Eggman had vanished through the mysterious portals dotting the planet. Shadow, wanting answers to both what lay beyond them and what he could gain from them, set forth into whatever unknown one such gateway led to. He knew that he would be faced with either answers, death, or shallow victory. He would be content either way.

Rival Cutscene:

(Shadow strides through a field, apparently in deep thought.)

Shadow: I have won many battles, but don't feel any closer to accepting who-or what-I am. Do I have a future now that my purpose is fulfilled, or will I go back to a meaningless life? Nothing is clear, even after all this...

Vegeta: I WIN AGAIN! I feel myself getting stronger and stronger with each victory! Soon, I might even be able to defeat Kakarot once and for all! (to the heavens) If there's anyone who thinks they're worthy enough to challenge the mighty Prince of Saiyans, come and try! I'll take on every single one of-

(Shadow arrives behind Vegeta while he's ranting, then forms a Chaos Spear in his hand and lobs it at his back. It explodes, staggering him.)

Shadow: You're easy to follow if you shout that often.

(Vegeta turns to look over his shoulder and sees Shadow. He turns fully around and smirks.)

Vegeta: ANOTHER easy victory? You DO remember that I completely destroyed you last time, right?

Shadow: Hmph. I got cocky last time. This time, you're going down!

Vegeta: Cockiness is one thing. Weakness is something else.

Shadow: Shut up and fight already.

Vegeta: (slams a fist into a palm) Fine. If it's a fight you want, then it's one you shall receive, rat!

Ending: Having won the final battle, Shadow at last feels the sting of his past regrets subsiding from his consciousness. He has a newfound sense of pride, but also a sense of purpose and duty. He returns to his world and, alongside its other heroes, becomes a hero determined to protect it from any evil that dares threaten it. The memory of Maria somewhat stings his soul, but it pales in comparison to the promise he made to her--one that he intends to keep: to protect the world and its citizens.
