After moving to Metropolis and getting a job as a reporter for the Daily Planet, Clark made his first known appearance as Superman--a hero that would fight for truth, justice, and the American Way. Special Moves:
-Super Punch: Superman briefly charges and delivers a powerful haymaker, knocking the opponent backward.
-Flying Rush: Superman flies directly at the opponent in his trademark style, pushing them to the back of the stage and smashing them into it.
-Super Blast: Superman inhales and then exhales a blast of air. Doesn't damage the opponent, but can push the opponent back and create distance between them. This can also be done to deflect projectiles.
*Freezing Blast: At the cost of some Super Meter, Superman inhales and then exhales a blast of cold air, freezing the opponent in place. The opponent can break out by button-mashing or until Superman hits them.
-Heat Vision: Superman blasts the opponent with a blast of heat vision, knocking them back a few feet. Relatively thin, but it does span the entire stage and moves very quickly.
-Thunderclap: Superman claps his hands together, creating a short-range shockwave that sends them flying back if they're close enough. If they are not fully within range of the attack, they'll be stunned instead.
Throws
FORWARD: Superman grabs the opponent, flies up, then dives at the ground and slams the opponent into it with enough force to make a small crater.
BACKWARD: Superman tosses the opponent up into the air, then grabs them by the leg to throw them away.
Super Move:
-Superheat Vision: Superman's eyes glow red and he unleashes an enhanced version of Heat Vision that spreads out to span the entire stage. Superman angles the Heat Vision from down-low to up-high, carrying unfortunate opponents up into the air before he ceases the attack.
-Last Son of Krypton: Superman delivers a powerful uppercut, sending the opponent flying high into the atmosphere until Superman flies up to them. Raising his fists in the air, Superman swings down with all his might to spike them back to Earth, the opponent creating a vast crater on impact.
-Solar Dip: Superman flies straight up like a bullet, right into the sun, then smashes back into the ground with a fiery-orange aura. For the next ten seconds, his moves will receive a significant upgrade in strength to the point that previously non-damaging moves will inflict some damage.
*Infinite Mass Punch: Available only after Solar Dip. Superman pulls back a fist that vibrates fast enough to glow a near-blinding white and create a small energy field around it. He throws a punch and, if it connects properly (no evasion or blocking), he will slam it into the opponent's midsection. All goes quiet for a few seconds, then the energy from Superman's fist expands outward like a miniature supernova, inflicting incredible damage and blasting the opponent all the way to the other side of the field. It's an almost-guaranteed one-hit KO.
FATALITIES:
-Laser Lobotomy: Superman uses freezing breath to lock his opponent's feet to the ground and, as they struggle to get away, he seizes them by the shoulders, his eyes starting to glow red. A narrow beam of energy focuses on their forehead, burning away at their skin and skull before suddenly expanding outward, taking the top section of their head off with little more than a smoking cavity.
-Freefall: Superman seizes the opponent around the middle, then takes off into the sky with a "BOOM", outpacing the opponent's screams by moving so fast so soon. Once they've reached a good height, Superman spins them around and hurls them to terra firma, the opponent screaming as they rocket to the ground. They hit with a loud and resounding "crunch" and their body is now no more than a twisted, bleeding wreck, their head now facing backward as the result of a snapped neck.
Intro: Superman floats down to the ground, cape blowing in the wind and fists on his hips before leaning forward, ready for some action.
Outro: Superman nods, then takes off into the sky, comes to a halt high in the air, then zooms off into the distance, the camera panning onto his iconic "flying pose".
Intro Quotes: "I fight for those who can't fight for themselves."

Theme Song: Superman Theme by John Williams
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Prologue: The Man of Steel didn't know the origin of these portals, but he could instantly tell that his long-time enemy, Lex Luthor, had malicious intent for them. Not wanting to take any chances, Superman took a few members of the Justice League with him. To his dismay, he found that it didn't matter if they went together--the portal separated them once they exited to the world of Death Battle. On his own in an alien world, Superman took off to find the source of this chaos and neutralize it. The fate of Infinite Earths lay upon his shoulders, so failure was not an option.
Rival Cutscene:
(Superman hovers high above the world, the sun and stars visible behind him.)
Superman: (frustrated sigh) Not working...again. This place really won't let me go, will it?
(Superman flies back down to the atmosphere, then fixes his gaze on a faraway tower.)
Superman: Looks like I'll have to keep fighting if that thing closing the distance is any indication... (flies off with a sonic-boom)
(After a quick fade to black, Superman now stands atop a tall skyscraper, overlooking the vast city for his next opponent. In a flash, Goku appears a short distance in front of him, standing on him. This startles him slightly, but the Man of Steel is unwavering.)
Goku: (cheerily) Hi there!
Superman: You again? Haven't we been through this...TWICE?
Goku: Yeah, but I just can't help myself! You're always fun to fight! Wanna go another round?
Superman: If memory serves, one of our clashes destroyed a planet.
Goku: (remembers, then scratches the back of his head) Oh. Right. (thinks a bit, then has an idea) I got it! Let's tone it down. I won't go any higher than Super Saiyan, alright? Super Saiyan 3, tops.
Superman: (sighs) I won't convince you otherwise, will I? (nods) Alright, but we'll also keep it away from civilized areas...not that there's anyone else here from what I observed. No casualties. (extends a hand) Deal?
Goku: Deal! (accepts handshake with vigor) Now, let's go!
(Both fly off, side-by-side, Superman in his iconic "flying" pose and Goku atop Nimbus, ready to go for yet another round.)
Ending: The day was saved once again and The Man of Steel couldn't be prouder. However, his work wasn't quite done as he stood before a podium and announced the existence of a new, interdimensional alliance. Upon announcing the name of one such hero in the alliance, Superman firmly shook the hand of the Saiyan warrior, Son Goku, to seal the deal. A new and golden age of superheroes was ready to begin.
