Name: Donkey Kong
Age: Unknown
Race: Gorilla
Title: Leader of the Kong Family
Bio: The grandson of the original gorilla that ran rampant in New Donk City's industrial zone, Donkey Kong serves as the guardian of DK Island along with the rest of the Kong Clan, including his grandfather, nephew, and more. Despite such responsibilities, DK is quite a slacker and something of a dimwit, only really reacting to threats on the island if his horde of bananas is threatened. Should the motivation strike, though, he will make sure that his opponent feels his fury.

Special Attacks:
-Beat Meter: By repeatedly pressing a "punch" button, DK will stand to his full height and beat his chest. The more he does this, a cloud of steam will appear over his head, growing bigger and bigger the longer he charges. Once the meter is moderately full, Donkey Kong's next special attack will gain a significant strength increase and a new, secondary ability.
-Kong Punch: Donkey Kong will throw a powerful punch at the opponent that will cause them to slide back significantly
--Windup Punch: With a moderately-charged Windup Meter, DK will briefly spin his arm and clenched fist before throwing a powerful punch that will reach much farther than the baseline variant, and can deliver a direct hit that can knock the opponent to the other side of the arena, bouncing them off the wall.
-Hand Slap: Donkey Kong slams his open palms on the ground, creating a short-range shockwave. This move can knock opponents into the air, leaving them open for combos. The shockwave can also neutralize nearby projectiles.
--Shockwave: DK slams his clenched fists on the ground, creating a fast-moving shockwave that spans the whole stage.
-Headbutt: Donkey Kong pulls back his head, then slams it into the opponent. A direct hit will cause the opponent to crumple to the ground.
--Head Slam: Donkey Kong hits the opponent with far greater force, actually embedding them in the ground and leaving them unable to move until they button-mash free. The move becomes slightly slower in terms of startup.
-Spinning Kong: Donkey Kong spins his whole body very rapidly, fists outstretched to strike the opponent repeatedly. Can be used in midair.
--Gorilla Tornado: Donkey Kong will spin for a longer period of time, moving towards the opponent slightly, and will hit more times should the opponent come into range. The downside to this move is that he will be dizzy for two or three seconds before he recovers or is attacked.
-Coconut Gun: Donkey Kong pulls a wooden shotgun and fires up to three coconuts at the opponent aiming at an upward-angle, straight, or straight-up depending on the button.
--Super Coconut: Donkey Kong fires a single hi-speed coconut at the opponent, which will explode on contact with the opponent.
-Barrel Roll: Donkey Kong will pull a wooden barrel from thin air and roll it at the opponent. Slow moving, but hits low, well below common blocks.
--Triple Barrel: DK rolls three barrels at the opponent that are much faster and stronger than the single one.
Throws
FORWARD: Donkey Kong ragdolls the opponent, slamming them into the ground a few times before letting go and leaving them in a crater.
BACKWARD: Donkey Kong punches the opponent in the face, then headbutts them before turning around to throw them away.
Super Moves
-Bongo Blast: DK pulls out a set of congas, then plays a quick rhythm on them, creating a series of stage-spanning shockwaves that can juggle opponents into the air. He finishes with a loud clap that creates the strongest shockwave, then stashes the drums away.
-Jungle Beat: Donkey Kong grits his teeth and throws a single punch laced in fire, then unleashes dozens of punches at a machine-gun rate (accompanied by rapid bongo-drum beating in the background) before stopping to put out the fire on his fists and resuming the battle.
-Full Moon Buster: Donkey Kong raises both fists and slams them down on the opponent. With a successful hit, he will simultaneously embed them in the earth and rocket himself high into the sky. He flies over the moon, winds up a punch, then lands a solid punch into the moon, which falls down on top of the opponent before bouncing off them and back into its original place. Donkey Kong lands shortly afterward, back in his battle position.
FATALITIES:
-Jungle Fury: Donkey Kong grabs the opponent and hauls them into the air, one hand grabbing their chest, the other around the waist, then begins pulling. After a bit of strain and screaming from the opponent, he rips them in two, then slams the two pieces together, creating a splatter of bone and blood, the opponent's head rolling across the floor.
-Gorilla Grip: Donkey Kong clasps both hands on the opponent's head and begins to squeeze very hard. The opponent screams as a steady cracking noise is heard, but are silenced when Donkey Kong crushes their skull into a pulp, causing an eyeball to pop out as a result. The opponent's headless form falls over as Donkey Kong brushes their eyeball off his shoulder.
Intro: A barrel with the letters "DK" emblazoned on it drops into the battlefield before Donkey Kong bursts forth from it. He beats his chest, then hunches forward, ready for battle.
Outro: Donkey Kong hoots excitedly, then performs a surprisingly-graceful backflip, lands on his feet, then beats his chest and does a Tarzan yell in victory.
Stage: Jungle Japes
Theme Song: "Jungle Hijinx" from Donkey Kong Country Returns

Prologue: Life on DK Island was peaceful as always, with its local protector chilling out on the beach, taking in the ocean breeze. That all changed, however, when Donkey Kong felt a disturbance--an event that only occurred when his banana horde was threatened. The ape raced to his stash in record time. The whole thing, to his horror, was gone and the only clue he had was the single, dark portal that lay at the center of where the horde used to be. Brimming with anger, Donkey Kong sprang in without a second thought, arriving in the world of Death Battle.
Rival Cutscene:
(Deep in the jungle primeval, Donkey Kong had gathered a good portion of his banana horde from the many foes he defeated in the world of Death Battle. He can only smile at the trophies he's collected so far. He soon finds a trail of bananas not far away and follows them, picking them up as he goes until something bumps into him and makes him drop them. Shaking the cobwebs out of his head, DK recognizes the short, red creature.)
Knuckles: Wha-?! It's YOU!
(Donkey Kong growls, vividly remembering the time Knuckles stupidly chose to eat one of his bananas.)
Knuckles: I'm in the mood for a little payback, and this time-
(Knuckles takes what he hoped would be a menacing step towards Donkey Kong, but steps on a banana peel and falls flat on his seat.)
Knuckles: Oh, come ON! Are you kidding me?!
(Knuckles looks up at Donkey Kong to see a sizeable peel sticking to the gorilla's not-too-impressed-looking face. DK pulls the yellow skin off his face and discards it, steam starting to pour from his ears. He then beats his chest and punches Knuckles, sending him sliding across the ground.)
Knuckles: Grrr...always a victim of circumstance. (stands back up) Okay, monkey-boy, lemme teach you a thing or two about how to REALLY hurt someone!
(Donkey Kong and Knuckles glower at each other, fists clenched, as the camera fades to black.)
Ending: After his great victory in the world of Death Battle, Donkey Kong sat atop his horde of bananas, eating and replenishing it as he saw fit. With a near-endless supply of his favorite treat, DK had never felt better and was certain he'd defend it for a good long time...as indicated by the multiple foes who sought to challenge his might (or in his interpretation, "steal my bananas"). Down at the bottom of his banana pile, lay his defeated foes, covered in painful-looking bruises, swirls for eyes, and swollen bumps. It truly was good to be king for this ape.
