I Wanna Go To Marz by John Grant -
"I had a few tracks lined up for inclusion this week but today, having woken to a gloomy wet Friday, fit only for baking, I kneaded my malted, wholewheat plait while catching up on the new album by Esperanza Spalding. (Well it is new to me, it came out in 2024). It seems like Perfect music for dark a rainy Friday in the tail end of the 6th hurricane of the year. I thought it was so good that I had to listen to her back catalogue."
Ponta De Areia by Esperanza Spalding -
Little Fly by Esperanza Spalding - "From her ‘chamber music’ album."
"And finally, an interesting Beatles cover that brightened my day. From the ‘new’ album Milton + Esperanza."

"Here's my 3 for the week with best wishes to all as ever. Nice to see some tracks up from Philip last week."
Gimme Shelter performed by Eric Church - "This track taken from an album I recently bought in an HMV sale which was a tribute by counry artistes to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Rolling Stones. My other two selections are from the same double album which I think are all very good covers of Stones favourite tracks and backing singer to rival Merry Clayton on this track."
Angie performed by Steve Earle -
It's Only Rock N' Roll (But I Like It) performed by Brothers Osborne & The War Treaty -
"Dipping into my musical pool this week, there's poetry, English trad and space rock, of course."
Zaffar Kunial reads 'The Hedge' - "I've just been reading Zaffar's second book England's Green, found in my superb local library. As last Thursday was National Poetry Day, here's something from it read by the man himself."
The Bluebell Polka performed by Walter and Daisy Bulwer, Billy Cooper, Scan Tester and others - "After playing tunes with Green Dragon Morris last weekend, I've continued listening to a bunch of trad English recordings over the first part of the week. Here's a specific Norfolk linked tune."

It's So Easy by Hawkwind - " A very nice new box set just released this week of HW's 1974 'Hall of the Mountain Grill' album, which also includes three remixed live concerts from the same era. It's been remastered and two concerts have never seen the light of day. This'll keep me occupied for a while! Unfortunately none of this is on Youtube, so here's something close."
