Welcome to the RPM Seven Day Soundtrack, week ending Friday 7th March 2025 and it's time to wind up the Supraphone again...over to...
"Greetings to All and I hope you have enjoyed the past week of sunshine. Very sad to read that Phillip has signed off, and I for one will miss him, not only for his music, but also TV series he alerted me to. My music this week relates to a concert in Sharrington Village Hall on Sunday and an upcoming one in The Canopy Theatre in Beccles on Saturday."

I Wonder (Song for Michael) by Yasmin Williams -
Not A Lot, Just Forever by Adrianne Lenker -
"Earlier in the week I heard a track by Yasmin Williams and I couldn't work out whether it was from a new album, released after her recent Arcadia album. After looking through some pro-mo material relating to Yasmin W (and finding nothing out!), ("This is on Yasmin's 2nd album, released 2021." Tim), I found myself reading an article about current trends in American music which sent me trawling through some 'modern' music. (There is a renaissance apparently) Not all of it was to my taste. Some I found interesting or even difficult listening but amongst a bunch of tracks by folks like Alan Licht (finger nails on blackboard horrid) and Wendy Eisenberg (which I couldn't make my mind up about). I found this which I rather like."
Drown by Matthew J. Rolin -
"Time for another three..."
Farewell To Connaught / Liz Carroll's / Brendan's Reel / Limestone Rock performed by Michael McGoldrick and John McSherry - "The lead off tune in this set was the session homework this week...what a cracker."
The Oak and the Ash performed by Megson - "A new Megson EP just out entitled To Get Home. The 2 new songs it features are not on Youtube yet, but this one, one of 3 reworkings of older numbers, is...and very nice too. RPM residents of Norfolk can see Debs and Stu live at Swanton Novers village hall on 25th April."
Sing It Home performed by various artists - "Received the Sing It Home CD in the post this week courtesy of Nina. Recorded to raise money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance featuring loads of Cornish musical groups. See if you can spot our lass at about 1:47..."
