Welcome to the RPM Seven Day Soundtrack, week ending Friday 9th May 2025. Here's the collective's selection for the week...over to...

"Best wishes to you all, as always."
"We saw Michael Daves last night. He was really rather good but as David was at the same show, I have gone with one of the trad tunes he Arr.'d. We will try, but we may not be able to post next week as we will be on a boat in the Hebrides and getting a connection may be tricky between islands..."
Kentucky Waltz by Bill Monroe -
Well Well Well by Josh White -
2 Waulking Songs by some ladies -
"Best wishes to all RPMers from sunny Poringland, Norwich. Here's my picklist for the week."
Like A Rock by Bob Seger - "Bob Seger turned 80 on 6th May. Still a favourite with me."
Granite Mills by Alison Krauss & Union Station - "From the forthcoming (end of this month) album "Arcadia" and this track based upon a real disaster which occurred in 1874 in Massachusetts. New band member Russell Moore takes lead vocals on this one."
C'mon Everybody by Eddie Cochran - "This clip is taken from one of the 1950's Town Hall Party TV shows which has been colourised. My dear departed friend Derek introduced me to recordings of this fascinating series of US TV shows. I've chosen this track to acknowledge the recent 65th anniversary of Eddie's death. On my trip to Isle of Man I met a new friend who was a young road manager on the tour which Eddie and Gene Vincent were on when Eddie's life was tragically taken. I visited the site in Chippenham when I was on a leadership course at HMS Royal Arthur in Corsham many years ago."
"Just over a year ago I chose a Connie Converse track so it must be time for another (actually someone played this at North Elmham on Wednesday afternoon)."
Talkin’ Like You (Two Tall Mountains) by Connie Converse -
