0. Startling
It was around four o’clock on a Sunday afternoon, not that it really matters about the time or the date. I had just gotten back from a good long run and was breathing hard and sweating up a storm. As I jogged up the driveway to the house I noted that both of the cars were gone meaning that there was no one home. I tried the latch on the door but it was unsprisingly locked. I trudged along the path to the backyard, reminding myself for the umteenth time I should put a key on my running shoes to avoid this ritual. After trudging up the stairs to the back deck, I stumbled over to the potted plant and in a single motion grabbed the key, unlocked the door, and slipped the key back into its hiding place. The backdoor deck opened directly into my room, which helped make it an excellent teenager lair. Closing the door cut off the bright sun, and the airconditioned indoors chilling my perspiration brought on a shiver. I had stripped my shirt off during the run and now I tossed it casually into the laundry hamper. It was quickly followed by my shorts and underwear. As there was no one else in the house I felt no need for modesty as I grabbed a towel from the linen closet on my way to the bathroom. I closed the door and instinctively locked it, never knowing who might come home unexpectedly. My mother has walked in one me far too many times to ever leave it unlocked. I got the feeling that sometimes she was doing it on purpose, just to make me angry. Turning on the water I set the knob to a cool temperature. It was hot enough that a warm shower was thoroughly unpleasant but a cool one felt like heaven on earth.
When the water reached the right temperature I stepped into the cool, refreshing flow and let the stream wash the sweat and grime from my body. I stretched and relaxed my legs, letting the tension run out of them with the dirt from my workout. After a good while and a lot of soap I turned off the water. Inside I felt a sigh of content as I began to dry off when I was shocked into alertness. I felt the house shake and saw the showcurtain move and images of an earthquake shuffled through my mind. I hopped into the doorway and braced myself. I heard some wood creaking, then nothing. I waited for several minutes, wondering if I should break for the outside. The pounding of my heart subsided, and nothing moved so I quickly finished toweling off and then wrapped the towel around my waist, twisting it at the top so that it would stay on. I walked to the stairs and peeked down but there was nothing out of the ordinary to see. The house was as silent as ever. In spite of this, even though there were no lights on and there was not a sound to be heard within, I felt there was someone else in the house with me. It was the nagging feeling that I was suddenly not alone, the same one I got when one of my parents woke up in the middle of the night and started coming down the stairs to see if I was using the computer. Normally it was a feeling that I found useful because it kept me from getting caught when I was cruising the less tasteful areas of the internet but now it was really starting to freak me out. Then again, maybe it was just the house creaking after the quake. Breathing quietly and padding heel to toe so I made no noise I stealthily moved down the hall, listening for anything unusual.
I heard wood creek again and stopped to see if I could hear where it was coming from. Was it me? After a minute of listening and still hearing nothing I swung around the corner with practiced ease, slipping through my bedroom's open door. Turning the knob I silently closed the door with the still lingering thought that someone might be moving about. It hadn't occured to me that the intruder might already be in my room until I heard my bed creak, causing me to whip around and let out a yelp of surprise. Sitting on my bed…well, covering the majority of my bed and taking up nearly half of my small room really, was something huge. I saw two large feet in sandals against the floor, and legs bent to the side. Through the dark I caught a glimmer of light and stared up into two deep green eyes. We both focused on eachother for a few minutes, and I started to notice flecks of gold and an otherworldly quality about those eyes. I myself as I slapped the wall to turn on the light, and she came into view.
I say she, because I could see hair and what looked like femanine features underneath a green hooded outfit she was wearing. She certainly was something otherworldly. I could see why the bed was creaking as even with her seated on it her head was a foot above mine. She had to be over nine feet tall! Her legs and arms showed the tone and shape of a lean athlete, clad in a multi-shaded green fabric that contained flecks of gold like her eyes. She slowly moved her hands to grip the edge of my bedframe, making it look even more toy-sized. What little I could see of her skin under the hood was a very lightly tanned olive color and she had a small smattering of freckles on her cheeks. Her hair was auburn-gold, perfectly straight and shiny. Poking out of her hair I could see two pointy ears! She truly was otherworldly. Her ears looked like Spock or some kind of Elf. I could see the firm muscles in her arms and legs tensing as her hands pressed down on the bed, causing it to creak again. I reacted without thinking, reaching back I grabbed the door handle and ripped the door open, turning and sprinting from the room as quickly as possible. I heard her call something in some language that I didn’t understand but it wouldn’t have mattered if she had been speaking plain English, I wasn’t listening.
1. Escape
“It’s a dream…this has got to be a dream…it’s got to be a…” I was panting to myself as I booked it down the stairs. I was disillusioned of this when I missed the last step and pitched forward into the wall, smashing my head against it. It put a good sized dent in the wall and hurt like crazy but I was on my feet running again before the plaster had time to start falling. I could hear from higher up in the house groaning and moaning as the floor took the weight of my massive, unexpected intruder. I didn’t stick around to see if it would collapse. I realized that the towel had slipped off and that I was naked. Thankfully I lived one the outskirts of town and my house had some woods all around it. Tearing through the rooms I raced to the downstairs backdoor and wrenched it open. As I ran into the backyard I grabbed a pair of shoes that I had left lying under the hanging line and some boxers and a pair of shorts as well. I could see from here that my bedroom was already empty. However, I couldn’t outrun anything if I was having to dodge prickly blackberries on the way. I frantically slipped on the clothes and shoes, then hastily turned, running into the woods. As soon as my vision came around I caught a glimpse of a huge hand and green fabric before my shoulder plowed right into something solid. In my haste I was offbalance and sent to the ground with a light thud. Somehow the intruder had slipped down off the deck without me noticing and had been waiting just steps behind me! As I scampered backwards, I wasn't sure what to make of her. The sun behind her turned her incredible size and mysterious hood into a dangerous looking silouette. However, her feet were clad in sandles and her legs bare. I heard a chuckle and again something in a strange language I didn't understand behind me as I came to my feet and ran into the forest.
My chest was on fire and my legs felt like lead, thanks to the six or so miles I had just run before my shower. At first I could hear rustling behind me, but I put all my energy into moving away as fast as I could. Cursing silently I veered off of the tiny deer path and slipped into a thicket of bushes. I sat down and with my back against a substantial tree that the thicket had grown around, I rested and listened. At first I could only hear the sound of my harsh and unreasonably loud breathing but slowly that faded and I began to hear the sounds of the forest again. I was listening for any signs of the huge intruder that might be chasing me but I heard nothing. Letting out a deep sigh I leaned my head against the trunk of the tree and closed my eyes. The image of her sitting on my bed came back to me and I considered what I had seen. She hadn't tried to stop me. If she had grabbed ahold, I'm quite sure I had no chance to get away. Why was she there? Why was she in my bedroom? Why was I even running? Shock.
As I thought back I started to wonder if my reaction was necessary. She hadn’t attacked me; she hadn’t done anything really, except induce a state of hysterics by being over 9 feet tall. I was just starting to consider how I could return to the house safetly when I heard a branch snap nearby. I had picked such a large tree as it offered cover for me to hid behind. I peeked around it to see her leaning back casually against the very same tree I was still catching my breath on. She appeared to be flipping through a book. Her hooded coverup was pulled back, and I could see her firm athletic arms and legs. Her skirt contained flecks of green and gold that caught my eye. Then, as I traced my eyes back up her nine foot stature, I couldn't help but stare up at profile of her huge breast, held skin tight by her top.
2. Returning
I'm not sure how long I was staring before the girl cleared her throat, and I craned my head up further to look her in the eye. I watched her slight smile slowly turn into a sheepish grin. “W-what do you want from me?” I stammered, feeling my throat tighten. She stayed still, giving me the confidence to inch away from the tree and out in front of her. I could now clearly see what I had not seen before. She was ravashingly beautiful! I was at ease as soon as I saw the calm expression in her face, and I visibly relaxed. Her dark hair flowed down over her shoulders. Her top was slung around her neck and cut low. She spoke again in the strange language and held her book out to me, and I took it at arms length. As I leafed through the pages, I realized I recognized these letters. Thinking desperately back to my reading, I tried to recall a phrase or passage with those strange words. The contents of the book had completely flown from my mind but one phrase came to me. I said it because it was the only thing I could think to say. I probably botched the pronunciation of at least a couple of the words but the girl obviously understood her language being spoken.
She gently reached a hand out towards me, careful not to cause alarm. I watched her fingers curl up around mine, and I felt her strength as she slowly yet firmly pulled me towards her. I realized at that moment that if she had intended anything harmful towards me, I had no recourse. She was bending down now, and my eyes focused beyond her hand to see the amazing shape of her breasts shifting forward in her top. I knew elves were real and I liked them…well the one that I had met a whole lot. Leaving my pack on the bed, I headed down to the kitchen for some supplies. I grabbed a couple energy bars and a bottled water before scribbilng a quick note saying that I had decided to go camping and would be gone for the night. On the way back to my room I noticed the dent my head left in the wall and figured my parents wouldn't be happy about it. I went back and amended the note with an apology and made-up explanation about clumsiness before grabbing the pack in my room.
3. Introductions
I was welcomed outside to a curious sight, as her eyes greeted me from just below the deck railing. One of her hands was wrapped around a wood slat, and my mind immediately started to calculate her height. With the deck about eight feet off the ground, she must be ten feet tall! As I walked towards her at the edge of the deck, I enjoyed seeing quite a different perspective on her. From the highe vantage point, I was awarded an amazing view down her cleavage. “Wait…why can I suddenly understand you?" As the words came out of my mouth they sounded unfamiliar, yet I knew their meaning. "..and how am I speaking this strange language?” I was still vaguely massaging my wrist.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was excited. You have the book! That's where you learned to flatter elven women!" Her voice was lyrical. Her giddi excitement was not only obvious in her voice, as she playfully leaned away from the deck. The sound of wood creaking startled us both a little. "Oops, I better be careful with that." She straightened herself, and gestured me towards her. "I also know why I was brought here. Come, I've been preparing for you."
“Flattery? Preparations?" The sound of Elvish coming out of my mouth was still startling. "What are these strange sounds coming from me?" I kept my eyes trained on her as I walked down the deck stairs to her side. "Can you perhaps offer a small explanation of what has transpired?" I hadn't said anything so polite in my adult life, but it was implicit in the Elven words.
"Your eyes are like stars and your hair like a river." she said as she blushed. The words sounded familiar, as they were the same words I had said to her in the forest earlier. With the help of the bracelet I now knew their meaning. With her blushing her eyelashes fluttered and practically set me hyperventilating it was so damn sexy. “Your powerful words,” she added, "are a rare complement to an Elven woman." I find it hard to believe that any complement would be rare for someone of her beauty. She was stunning. Her eyes and hair were mystifying, set atop a toned athletic frame with distractingly enviable curves. I was looking her up and down, and she blushed yet more deeply and looked away. She sat down on the ground, pressing her skirt between her crossed legs and bringing us nearly eye to eye. "I have never been paid such a compliment, let alone under such circumstances. I have made quite a mess of our introduction. I am Gladriel." She held her hand out towards mine with her palm towards the ground, her upper body making an attempt at a bow while sitting.
"A pleasure to meet you Gladriel, I am Keith." I gently took and kissed the top of her hand. It seemed like the proper response. "I do not wish to diminish my complement, as one so beautiful is deserving of any complement I could conjure, but it was the only Elvish phrase I knew at the time." After I said it, even with the implicit softness of the Elven words, she was visibly disappointed. I struggled to correct myself. "While I did not know it's meaning then, I know it's meaning now. Gladriel, your eyes contain the light of the stars and your hair the softness of the river." She was blushing even more now, and visibly delighted. Even I was taken aback and surprised at how elegant everything sounds when put in Elvish. The way we were staring at eachother was obviously the right moment for a kiss, but her size created a challenge. I felt climbing over her crossed legs would kill the moment, so I slowly walked to her side. Her gaze into my eyes gave me butterflies. I placed my hand on her neck, slipping my fingers into her hair and along her unique pointy ears. She reacted, tilting her head back to encourage me. My eyes traced the smooth line of her slightly angular chin down her neck and again I was offered an incredible view down her halter, her breasts lifted up as she arched. Each of us had initiated the ritual, and if we accepted eachother, were to become kafara. Her explanation of that word was still vague, but I would best sum it up as 'collaborators in bliss'. "I would be humbled and honored to be your first kafara. While I am far from the most experienced in your ways, I will share all that I have. Will you allow me this great honor?"
I was startled and still a bit confused. What did she mean? "I do not wish to delay unnecessarily, but I do not understand that wish you ask." I thought back to the book. The sound of the phrases came back into my head, and with the elvish bracelet I began to understand them. I remembered the incantation I had repeated over and over, and realized she was reciting the words as I lay there. It was a request for the forest to bring a mutual partner in bliss. It started off simple enough, but actually became rather explicit about seven days of mutual pampering and sexual pleasure while surrounded by nature.
"While I do not know your ways, our race has perfected the art of kafara. The forest will allow us to know eachother's greatest desires." As she recited the words, a seductive aura surrounded her and her hair began to move as if it was blown by the wind. Her already beautiful face became radiant, and her skin began to glow. "You should be warned, our language is a magical language. You will not be able to lie, and you will be bound to your words."
I stood facing her, for a moment ignoring what I would say if my parents walked into the backyard. "Gladriel. As I have never experienced Kafara, I have only a hint of that to which I am agreeing. However, if you are willing to show me, than I am eager to learn. I am pleased that the forest has answered my call, and thrilled that you are the partner which has been chosen. I accept the Kafara." I was amazed at how elegant it came out. In my mind's English it sounded very clumsy.
I immediately felt a flood of images from her. First, she was lifting me above her head and she twirled about in a small clearing. It was rather exciting being up so high. Next, we were sitting up in a tree, with several birds flying around us. Then, I was on top of her. She was naked and staring up at me with a smile of satisfaction. "The forest will reward us both."
