Kim's and her friend Linda gossip about how Arnold (that Kim's into) slept with the transformed cadet, TJ.
Kim gets irked, upset. Linda explains that it's now obvious why. He's into the strong macho and now transformed TJ, short little Kim is obviously not his type.
After a week of TJ's results coming in, order comes down from Doctor Gibbons' (female) superior to accelerate testing of women immediately, doctor tries to refuse, because of the danger, but he's overruled. He tries to buy more time, so he can try to lean how to screen for successful candidates, he's overruled. She asks if he has a clue what allowed TJ to survive, which he doesn't. "Then it sounds like you need more data." He's to present three candidates to her the next day.
During the next meeting, he presents candidates, two of which are currently on missions and would take at least a week to retrieve. She refuses to wait. He tries to buy more time, he's overruled. She takes responsibility for providing the candidates. Within the hour, a notice goes out and signs are posted asking for volunteers. It describes the risks (complications, inability to be pregnant), and talks up the 'rewards'.
Nurse Kim Rowers talks with her friend about volunteering. Her friend tries to talk her out of it because of the danger. She thinks the results would be amazing, especially because then she would have what Arnold wanted. Her friend is even more upset that she would do this for a man, and she reminds her it's not going to change who she is. Kim backpedals on the Arnold issue, and talks about the benefits again.
2/3 round-two female subjects survive - Kim Rowers and another girl survive, the third dies a gruesome death. (kim is now 6'6"?)
They run the girls through their paces, with Kim a bit less strong and more femanine than the other candidate, a soldier.
Kim's friend Linda Sutter is beside herself when they meet. Kim explains what it's like, as her friend marvels at the change.
After a couple days of different technicians, Kim is finally assigned Arnold (her crush) for her medical check-in.
He's surprised to see her transformed. She explains how she never liked being small, and how even though it had risks, she jumped at the chance. Then she gushes about how it's "paid off", rattling off some of her impressive feats of strength.
She could swear she's even getting more muscular, and shows off a little, asking what he thinks of her new look. This is all sending Arnold into high gear, and making him stumble over his words. He nervously tries to get on with his job of taking her vitals.
Kim makes small-talk by bringing up the rumors of him and TJ, and warns him that TJ doesn't care about him -- and that she doesn't want him to get hurt. Arnold tries to deflect, insisting they are not a couple, TJ is not his girlfriend.
Kim is relieved, then confesses she's always had a crush on him. She explains that she now understands why he wasn't interested when she was short and mousy, but she wonders if he'll reconsider now. She flirts, shows off her height advantage, and asks if she's more his type now -- to which he stammers.
She giggles and asks if she's making him nervous, commenting that it makes him even more cute. Then she flirtatiously offers to meet him that evening, so they can spend some time together, and she can help him forget all about TJ. / He sheepishly agrees.
TJ and the male test subjects meet for an "evaluation".
TJ is now 7'4", and it's clear she's still growing. What starts off as clinical quickly turns to something else as the men are simply astonished at her feats of strength. After she curls a 500lb deadlift bar, they realize they simply don't have enough weight in the gym to test her. She has an idea and coaxes them outside, where she walks up to an inoperative tank, and proceeds to, with some difficulty, lift it off the ground by the corner. It creaks and groans, and finally the treads break, causing it to crash down to the ground. The doctor runs out, demands to know what they are doing, which TJ explains as if it was a casual affair. The doctor politely asks her not to damage any more equipment, promising to find some more suitable way to evaluate her.
Doctor Gibbons' commander inquires about the damaged tank. While he apologizes, she makes it clear she's more impressed than upset. She explains that his priority is figuring out what is different about the surviving women.
(it will take more casualties to figure it it's because of where the procedure is issued relative to their menstrual cycle. when they do, and they confirm it, the commander immediately submits herself to be transformed. the doctor objects, but she again overrules him. her response to the transformation is more megalomaniacal.. as she rushes to demonstrate her strength and revel in it.)

Doctor Gibbons meets with the commander, explaining 1 died in the second round and 3/3 in the third. He pleads to slow down their experimentation. To give him more time. The commander will give him four weeks to investigate the data he has, but then they'll resume experimentation. She reminds him that he's hearing the order from her, but it's coming from much higher in the ranks.
TJ summons Arnold and starts to have her way with him. Arnold tries to resist, "i told you, i'm seeing someone now", TJ is unimpressed. Afterall, who could compare to her. Then she realizes it's that nurse who was always eyeing him, the one who was recently transformed. TJ is amused, but it doesn't change the situation. She's horny, and their little arrangement is convenient for her. They both get what they want, and she doesn't have to deal with the trappings of a boyfriend. She proceeds to seduce him with her power over him, demonstrating her strength and that she could force him if she wanted to, asking him if he'd like that even more. Kim downplays it as not as surprising as her actual strength, recounting one of her feats in the gym. Kim changes the subject to gush about how well her and Arnold are getting along, now that she's changed. That at first it was a little strange, taking control, but now she kinda likes it. It's like a little game. Whenever Kim shows him how much stronger she is, or tells him what she really wants, he gets all weak and responds. "Like last night, when she grabbed his pants, and just..." her friend cuts her off, as that's just too much information. Her friend struggles to figure out how to tell her a rumor she's heard, that TJ is still sleeping with Arnold. Kim at first is in denial. Then she's quite pissed. Her friend cautions her not to be pissed at Arnold, after-all, he's submissive. Of course he's wrapped about TJ's little finger. Kim vows to fight fire with fire.
Kim meets Arnold at his dormitory, which was not designed for her current 7' height. She talks about how she wishes they could go on a real date, off-base, but that she'll settle for another walk on the grounds and the pleasure of his company, unless he'd prefer something else. Then she proceeds to corner him, demonstrating her strength and ability to easily turn him on. She tells him in explicit terms how she's going to service him after their walk, unless he can't wait that long. Or maybe she's the one who can't wait that long. Right as she's got him good and hard and starts fondling him, she casually confronts him about the 'rumor' she heard that his activities with TJ are still ongoing. She promises not to be mad at him, but insists he tell the truth. He confesses it's true, that he just can't resist. He didn't know how to tell her. Kim chastises him, about how she knows he can't resist. She explains that she's going to have a talk with TJ, make it clear she should keep her hands off. "And as for you, i'll have to give you a little extra incentive to keep your hands in the right places."
Kim confronts TJ. TJ laughs, and just toys with her. Commenting how Arnold clearly likes it, or he wouldn't keep coming back. Kim defends that he can't help it. To a submissive like him, their superhuman female form is like crack. "Or maybe he gets something from me he doesn't get from you. You seem like a proper girl, not one who's going to really push his buttons. Tell me, do you really show him how strong you are? Make him quiver until his knees are weak and his cock is hard? Doctor Gibbons pours over data with Nurse Linda Sutter. After coming up with nothing, Linda suggests they bring Kim back in. That she might see something they missed. Doctor Gibbons offers several reasons not to, but realizes he's running out of time. They call for her. It doesn't take long for her to arrive. It's awkward for Doctor Gibbons to interact with her as a nurse given her new stature. That said, she pours over the data, comes up with nothing, then asks to see the pictures. She pours over them. After a few minute, she comes up with something. She checks the photos frantically, while murmuring to herself (it can't be that simple). When they ask what it is, she explains her theory, showing them the autopsies indicate all the dead women were wearing tampons. They can check with TJ to confirm what part of her cycle she was in when transformed. Then Kim starts to describe in highly technical terms how she'd go about trying to do blood sample testing, which the Doctor is surprised and impressed with.
Doctor Gibbons meets with his commanding officer. She is thrilled they have a lead. When he explains what they learned, she insists they return to experimentation at once. He insists they could act more cautiously, perform cellular tests. Try to avoid any more deaths. She gives him three days. He's more than grateful.
TJ has a check-in session with Arnold, where he has to take some measurements and observe some results. She's now 7'8" and has an incredible muscle definition. She towers almost two feet over him. She's worn practically nothing to her session. Spandex boy shorts, a spandex sports bra and cut open tank top that hardly cover anything. "She comments on her muscle definition, that she's been strong, but now she's really starting to look the part. She asks if he likes the muscular look, which he nervously answers. TJ teases him for having Kim fight his battles for him. Then she teases him for not knowing how good he had it. But he's going to miss her.
Then she proceeds to do some lab tests, including curling 500lbs easily. She quips for him to imagine how easily she could handle him the way he likes now. She's looking forward to holding a man in her hand while she sucks his cock.

Doctor Gibbons and Kim are working hard with the samples, trying to precipitate the negative and positive reactions.
However, they are getting nowhere, as none of the blood samples have a catastrophic reaction. Gibbons finds working in proximity to Kim very distracting.
Kim "solves the problem"
Kim has the brilliant idea that maybe it's a chain reaction, that it doesn't happen in the blood because it actually affects the glands themselves. Gibbons agrees it's possible, but doesn't understand where that leaves them. They can't exactly test on human glands without testing on humans. She agrees not, but perhaps they can simulate the hormonal cascade. She asks if they have (specific hormones) on hand. He agrees they do, but doesn't understand what she's going to do with them.
She explains her theory as she tweaks the hormones of the first sample. After a few seconds, the cells explode all over the dish. "That's the menstrual cycle, and this is during the ovulation cycle." She injects another dish with hormones. It reacts, but doesn't explode. It remains stable. She admits it's not a perfect test, but it does suggest her theory is correct.
Gibbons is thrilled, and hugs her, which they both find a little awkward. He says her work very well may have saved lives.
