Concept

    • A girl has an unusually strong ability to hypnotize and/or cause hallucinations in others. After causing her mother to committ suicide, she's put in institutional care and "forgotten" ... until a doctor is sympathetic and takes her off enough meds to allow her to reassert her 'abilities' over him...

A girl held in institutional care reaches her 18th birthday, and a young doctor feels sympathetic for her, not knowing her paranormal history. He argues defends her against her parents wishes to keep her, and despite their warnings, weens her off her meds. At first, her awakening is very positive, as she becomes very cleaned up and pretty.... but then things get strange as her paranormal powers slowly emerge, as she starts flirting, and then using her paranormal hypnosis to 'take control' of their therapy sessions, using suggestion to get him to admit things he shouldn't (like his attraction for her)... she gets playful and admits her "affection" for him, including some sexual fantasies, and gets him to admit his minigts fantasies, which she thinks sound really fun, and then she makes him hallucinate them. (pic) he thinks he's going crazy, but she admits this is the deep dark dangerous secret her parents wanted her locked up for... "this doesn't seem bad, does it?" ... he's completely smitten, so when she instructs him to discharge her and then meet her and take her to his place, he agrees.

  • Characters

    • Dr. Sean Matthews M.D. - 28 y/o new psychiatrist, assigned to the state care facility

    • Melissa Holston (Mia) - 18 y/o institutional patient who is a real life Telepath (Cerebrokinesis).

    • Melissa's parents

    • Rhonda - "old" female orderly, who warns Dr Sean about taking her off meds.

    • Her power concepts

      • what is the 'tell' that she's using her power?

        • very deliberate deep breath?

      • She projects "ideas" the person already knows..

        • so they can only go to places they've already both been.

        • there are no other people in the dream.... but later she figures out to trigger 'waking projections' -- aka hallicunations

    • She can't force people to stay in the dream.... they have to want to.

  • What does she want?

    • to live in fantasy as much as she can? (because her life is not amazing)

    • to play 'games' with people's minds... (because it's fun)

    • to be loved instead of feared, rejected, or studied?

    • to have people serve her?

    • to be taken care of?

  • What drives the story?

    • she's in a wheelchair, but she has telepathic mental projection.

      • doctor feels sorry for her, lets her off meds

      • she starts to manipulate everyone, including the doctor...

      • she sort-of flirts with him, then makes him doze off and dream about her...

      • in therapy, she makes reference to the dream... which confuses him

      • she explains why her parents are afraid of her, and why she was on so many meds... that she can project mental images.. but she's learned her lesson, she only wants to use it for good now. 'you want that, don't you doctor matthews'?

        • she stands up out of her wheelchair, lets down her hair, and flirtatiously sits on his desk, and comes onto him, rubbing her foot in his crotch... offering a "deal"... he keeps her off the meds, and she'll keep coming to him in his dreams.

        • when it's done, she's in her wheelchair and everything is back to normal, and she thanks him for the session

        • he's frantic, and reviews the video footage, only to see them both sitting still, eyes closed.. not moving for the entire session ... he's relieved he can't get in trouble

      • the next session, he starts asking her more questions. he's curious how this came about, how it works. does she experience the same thing? can she project anything?

        • she flirts back, "why did you have something in mind?" he tries to dodge, but she pushes him to confess his greatest sexual fantasy... so he tells her about his amazon/minigts fetish...

        • She's fascinated and delighted, and makes jokes about how he's going to "help her really show off her talents"... and then she proceeds to slowly transform and tease him with her vision... making herself bustier, and taller, and stronger..

    • What is the fun twist?

      • Mia is an alien?

      • Mia is actually a parasite in Melissa's head?

      • Dr Matthews has been trapped in a dream the whole time?

      • Mia has been projecting since before "she was off the meds".

        • Mia's parents are not real, they are dead and killed themselves.

        • It isn't actually an asylum, it's a compound Mia controls.

      • She eventually learns to cause waking dreams (hallicunations), and then things get really twisted for Dr Matthews.

    • General Plot

      • Dr takes Melissa off meds. Melissa is remarkably coherent, if a bit aloof and mischievous, and at first everything seems normal.

      • Other patents start to act a little weird, treating her like she's the queen of the ward. When the Dr asks, she dismisses it as nothing.

      • Dr follows up and says she seems to be doing very well. He asks if she'd like to talk about what happened that brought her there. (you mean why my parents are afraid of me?) -- "are your parents afraid of you?" -- (you don't know why i'm here, do you doctor?) -- "i want to hear from you" -- she uses her -tell- ("what do you know about my history here") -- "actually, not much. (old doctor) hardly wrote any notes. all i know is something big happened when you were twelve, and you've been on extremely high dose sedatives" -- ("that's very interesting, dr matthews. I think my parents locked me up in here because they didn't like their little girl growing up. that doesn't seem fair, does it?") - "i don't know enough to know if it was fair or not. would you like to tell me what happened?"

        • "ohh, i'd love to, doctor. It started when I was twelve. I got a little precious and kissed a boy. Not with tongue or anything. Honestly we didn't know what we were doing. However, after that, he was different, like he was under a spell or something, willing to do anything I asked. At first I thought he just had a crush or something, and I had him do my homework, and give me some extra lunch money. However, he seemed a little too obedient, and I couldn't resist seeing how far it would go. So I told him to strip naked and stand up on a lunchroom table, and he did it. That's when I knew something weird was going on."

        • "That's strange. What did you think was going on?"

        • "Well, I didn't exactly know it yet, but eventually I found out I have a form of mental telepathy. I didn't really know how it worked at first, but I had lots of fun experimenting. I had fun making students do embarrassing things, and doing whatever I asked. Then I started messing with teachers. I had them dressing funny, and acting funny, and the more I did it, the more upset they seemed to get. Until one day I went way too far, and I started doing it to my mother. I could see the look in her eye the moment it happened, when she got afraid of me. Really it was something silly. She wanted me to eat my vegetables, and so I had her eat mine, and hers, and all the vegetables in the entire fridge. When my dad got home, I heard them yelling and yelling, and then the next day was my first trip to a psychiatrist, and the rest as they say, is history."

        • "Okay, so you believe you're able to influence people? That's why you think you're here?"

        • "Ohh Dr, that makes it sound so normal. In the beginning I was only able to influence, but then I realized I can make them see and hear things as well. That's when it happened. I was arguing with my parents, because I wanted to go back to my school, and they wouldn't let me, and I told them I wanted to die, and I made them watch me hang myself, and it terrified them. I think that's what really got my parents to lock me up. And maybe I even agree with them, but now I'm much older, and I've learned that getting along, and showing people something they want is much better than scaring them."

        • "So you believe you still have this power now? When's the last time you used it?"

        • "I'm using it right now....

          • ?? somehow she tells the story of how she found him so attentive and caring, and she wanted to look pretty for him...

          • ?? and she asks if he finds her attractive.. and he explains he's her doctor, it's not his place to comment on her appeareance.

          • ?? ohh, of course not.

  • Intro

    • Dr Sean takes a new job at a small town state mental institution after the elderly doctor passed.

      • While reviewing the cases, one of them doesn't fit. Melissa is 18 years old, and on incredibly high dose mental sedation for years, but he can't imagine how a young girl could have done anything to justify this.

      • Her parents visit for her 18th birthday, and afterwords Dr Sean asks them a bunch of questions about Melissa (with her in a zombie state in the room), that make them increasingly uncomfortable. "we've been over all this with (old doctor), didn't you talk to him? isn't this in her file?" -- "i never got to meet him, and Melissa's file has hardly anything in it. anything you can offer me would be very helpful, but I want you to know, now that she's 18, we can't hold her against her will, and so I will need to ween her off these meds to do an evaluation" - the parents get afraid, and try to discourage him from doing that.. he asks why, they refuse, indicate he wouldn't believe them...he indicates "that's not enough", and he'll be weening her off meds in the next few days. they leave, fearful... kissing her "good bye for good".

      • Rhonda comes to Dr Sean with the new meds for Melissa, concerned. He explains why he's lowering her dose. Rhonda is fearful, and while she wasn't here when it happened, (old doc) told her stories that seemed hard to believe.
