concept(s)
charlie does something destructive to her life, and scolds and blames God for being at fault
charlie gives a pro-matriarch speech, scolding god for screwing it up.. and gets offered the chance to play god herself
at first she's just learning how it works, and indulging a little with her body and her boyfriend
then she tries to 'do good', curing children in the hospital, then curing all disease.. but it backfires, and the headlines read that millions are cured, while millions die.. in a freak event -- God explains that there is a balance... that the universe doesn't have a sense of good and bad, only a sense of balance.
she gets frustrated, and a little disillusioned. she walks away to think, and some guys come onto her, and shove her into an alley and start trying to have their way with her. At first she just passively scolds them (trust me, you don't want to do this), but they are not listening, and they rip her shirt open.
She rants to her self about how if the universe things 'this' is balanced, it is fucked up... "It's time to change a little balance." It only takes a thought, a twist of the mind, and she makes women the dominant sex. And not a little bit dominant... she instantly towered two feet taller than the men around her, and was both bigger and stronger. Who is Charlie?
(1) unusually attractive and smart woman (24?), who is constantly sexually harassed and not taken seriously because of her looks. applies as a lab scientist for a pharma company, but quickly gets "promoted" to be a 'high profile client liaison', where she's basically looking pretty and getting sexually harassed all the time... has a geeky boyfriend who she loves but doesn't exactly satisfy her...
plot elements
Charlie first uses the power for simple personal gain (getting the job she really wants), and then using her powers to be amazing at it.
she starts hearing voices, and God explains these are prayers...
she tries to answer them individually, and quickly sees the male oppression pattern (men praying for power, women praying for survival).. and she creates a system to automatically grant prayers that will make things better for women, and deny the rest
"strange" things happen as a result.. such women winning the lottery, women getting promotions, female lead movies hitting box office records, new inexpensive female cosmetic procedures.. but also some bad things like only women surviving a horrible airplane crash, and male unemployment and crime on the rise.
...and a slew of products come out making men into sexual stallions (over the counter viagra, lidocane laced condoms, etc), and marketing starts pressuring men to 'impress their women'
her boyfriend brings some home, and rocks her world with an entire night of sex where she climaxes dozens of times.. and things seem 'good'
the next day, the 'taller-her' therapy is announced... a crispr gene therapy making women taller and more confident... some political controversy surrounds it, and congress starts an investigation into whether it should be allowed on the market, but the female dominated congress votes not only to approve it, but also to federally subsidize women for two treatments, or a height of 5'11".
By Monday (over the weekend), the average height of women in the USA has risen 5" (to 5'9") and analysists predict it will rise another 4" under federal subsidy, by Wednesday.

Charlie starts to get concerned, and changes her prayer-manger to just reply "no" to all prayers

he breaks it off.... confessing he's been unfaithful, and while he loves her, he just can't bear the guilt of lying anymore...

she goes back to her man, and declares her unconditional love to him, giving him her trust, and and giving him the confidence to be her partner. Then she gives
??? what happens next ???
she curses God again, but he appears and explains he had nothing to do with it, this was entirely her doing. 'job's not so easy, is it? maybe i wasn't doing such a bad job after all?'
then we depart from the movie-similarity, and instead Charlie declares, 'ohh no, i'm not giving up that easy'. she takes off the kid gloves and turns herself into a similarly sexualized 6'5" amazon..
she shows up at her boyfriend's workplace, where she gets lots of stares as she marches into his boss's office. The woman has no idea who she is, and Charlie gets right in her face and makes clear Charlie is hers, and she's not to come near him ever again. Tell her you don't love her anymore, that you're devoted to me now." / Charlie turns to her, tearing in his eyes, seeing her exaggerated form, and he can't do it, he can't say it. He hesitates a few seconds, then a minute. / "Say it. Say it, now!" She demands in rage. Charlie says nothing. "Fine," she continues in a very calm voice, "she can have you. you're fired." / Charlie starts to plea, "please miss xxx, don't fire me. You said i'm one of your best employees." / "You both can leave now, or I'll have you escorted out."
Charlie approaches her man, and kneels down face to face, "it'll be okay hon. I know how it all happened. She took advantage of you. It wasn't your fault, and I forgive you. Please just come back to me, please. It'll all be okay."
--- back at her place, he sobs, apologizing, whimpering.

maybe she starts with the dramatic (cure cancer, cure all disease), and gets to see the balance lashback (hospitals go out of business, millions lose their jobs)

maybe it becomes a window into the seldom expressed female drives - to look perfectly primped, and sexier than any other women around. and to flirt and prove how much they can command male attention and female envy... to wield power over people, not in a male bravado strength way, but through manipulation and mental control.

Seth skiddishly agrees.. and she kneels on the couch (just like Charlie) and proceeds to fabricate a story about how she just had a really bad breakup with her boyfriend, and she had to get away to clear her head, and when Charlie wasn't at her place, she figured she'd be at Seth's.
'ohh, well... she's not here, but you're welcome to hang out and wait for her." meanwhile he's totally checking her out.
