setup story
Cal proposes to Tera, only to find out she's an eleven dimensional quantum being that can alter reality. He agrees to be with her forever, and so she "absorbs" his mind into her own (though she doesn't exactly explain it to him that way).

Rata is Cal's subconcious id, like on forbidden planet...doing what he darkly and selfishly wants, even if it goes against all social convention and appropriateness..

Rata 'appears', and buds in again and 'explain' that she's there to do what Cal really wants.. she proceeds to bring in Lisa, bring her in on the truth, and demonstrate their physical and seductive power over both Ethan and Cal.. first by having Rata seduce Ethan... and then by having Lisa seduce and service Cal right in front of Ethan
Ethan snaps, scolding Lisa (i thought you loved me), and begging Cal to make it stop, which causes Lisa to continue, flaunting his powerlessness.. 'answering' third party style by talking to Cal, rationalizing that it was 'only fair', since he shared Rata, and since she needed to properly thank Cal.. afterwords, she scolds Ethan, and says he should be thanking Cal too... as she drags him away to 'show him some manners'
Rata chats with Cal afterwords... Cal thinks this might all be a bad idea, but Rata insists Ethan love it.. and he should 'see for himself'....

Lisa corners Cal privately, teasing him... while Cal suggests this is 'inappropriate'... 'ohh this?' she insists she's just being friendly, but she has no intention of taking it further after Ethan was so bent about last time.. but then she explains why she wants to talk to him, she was asking for another change, and Rata said she should ask him... she really enjoys being in control, and Ethan likes it too, and she thinks it would be even better if she didn't have to rely on him financially... (i dont understand? you want a job?) no, i was thinking of more, financial independence.... finally Rata appears, and spells it out, "Cal, she doesn't want to work, she wants to be rich, silly." ... conversation ensues, where Rata brainstorms a backstory about why Lisa is lavishly wealthy.. which becomes true as soon as they agree on it, which she confirms on her smartphone. They talk about whether they should change Ethan's memory.. which Cal objects to, and Lisa backs off on, as it'll be fun to break it to him. Lisa then gives Cal a suggestive kiss and hug and leaves.
Ethan comes home to find his dream car parked in the driveway... Lisa hands him the keys, and declares it's a present she got for him. (what?! how the hell did you get it?) Lisa explains her new wealthy backstory, and declares she's going to buy them a new home, asking if he wants to help her shop, or if she should just surprise him. he peeks at the computer, to see her looking at a lavish penthouse. (what? that's $10M!) So? I can afford it. And we deserve it. (how much money do you have?) Do you really want to know?
...?? where is Tara in all this ??....
Ethan again confronts Cal... 'dude, what the fuck is going on? Why would she make Lisa rich, instead of me? Is she trying to torture me?" - Cal tries to explain that this whole thing is complicated. Things kind of just happen. Ethan complains about the dynamic between him and Lisa, and how it's changed, and how powerless he feels. Cal apologizes, and suggests maybe it would be better if he had Tara put everything back to normal, back the way it was. Ethan backpedals, 'the way it was? what does that mean, exactly? I'm not asking for things to go back to the way they were, just for a few adjustments?" -
Rata appears, and comically teases Ethan for "having no trouble with an ulta sexy busty wife slave to suck and fuck him, but when she can pay her own credit card bills, that's gone too far." / Ethan scolds, 'why are you always budding in? i'm having a conversation with my friend.'
Rata chalenges him, 'don't you get it? Cal, and Tara, and I, we're the same being, parts of the same consciousness. In a sense, I am Cal, or a part of him anyway.. "
"I don't understand. Cal, what is she saying? that *you* did all of this?" / "well, yes, and no. We are both part of Tara, but I don't exactly have control over all of this. Things just happen."
"Or more accurately, he tries to deny his true nature, while I make his dreams come true. And right now he wants you to show a little gratitude, but you're not going to do that, are you?"
"Gratitude? For giving my wife everything? Making her rich, and sexy, and letting her treat me like a toy? Why the fuck would I thank him for that?"

Ethan and Lisa settle down for an evening, and kiss... and the kiss turns sultry, and aggressive, just like the kiss with Rata... Ethan loves it, but then he sees a look in her eye, and can't help but wonder, "Lisa?"
"Of course it's not Lisa. I made this body, figured i would take it for a spin."
"Rata, you can't... I mean. Where is Lisa?"
"She's asleep. She was very tired, so she turned in early. And unless you want old Lisa back, I can do whatever I want, remember?"

Plot Arc
Chapter 1 - Cal proposes to Tera. Tera tries (again) to explain what she is. this time things go well, they "merge" conciousness, and Tera lets Cal go on a little fantasy sexscapade. Rata is introduced. Tera "enhances" herself, fortells Cal's promotion.
Chapter 2 - (bar scene, bathroom scene) - Cal and Tera around friends at a bar after their 'marriage/merge'...
Tera starts by materializing a wedding ring for him, and explains to him the backstory she created about their wedding, who was there, what kind of setting it was in, ceremony religion, etc.
she gives him some advice about how to live in reality knowing what he knows... it's better if they don't know... because they normally just have a breakdown, and she has to reset everything, just like she did the first four times she told him about her.
introduce some "Friends"
Ethan - Cal's college buddy (who oogles tera, and looks up to Cal for landing such a hot wife.. always asking him for advice, and confessing bedroom troubles as a rouse to ask about Tera in the sack)
Lisa - Steve's girlfriend (who is cold to tera out of jealousy, and the fact that her boyfriend oogles her constantly)
Amanda - Tera's "backstory" friend, a super-tall college vollyball friend (who isn't dating anyone. she gushes positive things about Cal, and how lucky they are to be married. it's hell for a tall woman to be single - she explains the challenges, nobody wants to date her)
someone at the bar hits on Amanda, only backs off when he realizes how tall she is
someone else approaches Amanda and Tera to get a picture with them.
Lisa keeps asking to go, and being despondent.
When Cal goes to the bathroom, Rata appears (tara sized), looking in over the stall.
she makes trouble, talking about how jealous and mean Lisa is to Tara. suggesting everyone would be having a better time if...
Steve knew about his secret (Back in ancient times, merged humans flaunted their near god-hood, especially to those close to them)
would be fun, because first we'd have to prove it to steve..

Cal doesn't think that's a good idea, because of what "Tera said". Rata makes fun of how conservative he is.. "What's the fun of being in this reality if you don't play with it?" she banters a little more, then says she'll just ask what Steve thinks.
As if on-cue, Steve enters the bathroom. He initially mis-takes her for Tera, but is confused about her hair, and how she's in the bathroom, when she was back at the table. Rata introduces herself as Tera's out-of-town sister, here for a surprise visit. Steve instantly asks if she's single.... she laughs, confesses she is, and gets a little flirty... but when she lures him into hitting on her, she confesses she likes girls. Then she scolds him, because his girlfriend out at the table would be upset to hear he's hitting on girls in the bathroom.
somehow this leads to the hypothetical question... "if he could make Lisa hotter and sexier. Just snap his fingers and do it. would he?"
...his main concern of course is....would she still be into him? Rata confirms she would be. madly. and she'd be better in bed. and ready for it all the time. With that in mind, "of course" he would do it.
Rata uses this proof against Cal, "see". Then excuses herself to go see her big sister.

Chapter 3 - (office building) - Cal shows up at work, and Rata messes with him all day
he gets a corner office... and a sweetheart southern belle secretary
Rata appears to him (on a TV?) and starts talking in his mind (in red bubbles)... she starts to make trouble.
first by enhancing his secretary, and making her aroused (and flustered) whenever she's around Cal. and being his 'devil conscience' seeding ideas about what he could do with her, or with the company, or with the world in general..
Cal refuses to "cheat" on Tera. Rata explains that his purpose is to entertain her, and there is nothing wrong with that. Then she self pontificates about whether it's possible to cheat on a personality of the being, when he's part of the being... this requires she explain more specifically how his "personality" was absorbed and is inside the greater being.... only he's limited to accessing his physical body. (maybe she reveals that her power is also limited, and Tera is the one with "unlimited" power)

???maybe?? after Rata fails to get him to cave with his secretary..... his secretary comes in and reminds him of his 2-o-clock meeting with the boss. (can we do an elevator ride? penthouse office?) Then Rata pulls the same tricks enhancing his boss... only his boss is quite upset at how he's leering at her instead of paying attention to what she's saying. she belittles and sexually harasses him. maybe she berates his performance, and threatens to fire him unless he agrees to accompany her on a "date". Doesn't let him say no, tells him her cheuffeur will pick him up at 6pm, and that if he doesn't show, he's fired. Sends him back to his office.
Cal is trapped. Calls Tera on the phone, causing her to "appear" in his office instead.
he explains the problem Rata created with his secretary, and his boss. She finds the whole situation slightly humorous. She explains that Rata is (mostly) his construction, so he kinda made this problem for himself. She explains her nicer version of the "i'm not jealous, because at some level you are part of me" (and that their "marriage" is not a catholic marriage anyway)
Tera says the easiest way out of this is to make Rata disappear.... of course he's reluctant to do *that*.... which tera also finds humerous, and then wishes him a fun time on his "date"
Chapter 4 - date with the "boss"
Notes about Tera's power
She lives in Eleven Dimensions, and can control the flow of information in and out of Cal's 4 dimensional reality...
She's absorbed Cal into her quantum mind, so his mind is within her -- affecting her, like she affects him. but he only "believes in" 3/4 dimensions, so he has to inhabit a space, or a body, to be a coherent personality.
What can she do?
She can:
quickly learn to speak any language, reproduce any work of art or literature (it's not because she "knows" it. this is all information modulation. she finds the knowledge, and she channels the information through her conciousness)
it's like she can an entire library simultaneously, or take a course in french in a few seconds.
appear and disappear, create/alter objects
watch physical (but not mental) events anywhere (but only one at a time, with her focus and attention. she is not omniscient)
ripple causation backwards in time, retroactively changing the past to match a current reality
...but it's a bit unpredictable, as she doesn't choose how the past is written...
...and this is not the same as time-travel.. she can't go back in time and change an event. she changes a current state and "push" causation to flow backwards also, rippling through anything necessary... when she does, she can perceive the old-and-new information waves. cal remembers his "old" memories only.. while everyone else percieves the "new" causation.
do some "tricks", like levitating, "telekenesis", or traveling near the speed of light
...by controlling the shape of 4 dimensional space time
(though she can also just blink anywhere in the 3d universe)
She can't:
know everything (she is not omniscient or all-knowing or perfect or infinitely educated)
..but she has been around for 20,000 years, so she's already modulated and assimilated an astounding amount of information.
read minds outside her own, because conciousness has a multi-dimensional shape

alter cal's perception of time or memory (or any other humans merged with 11d beings, if there are any).. since it's now enmeshed with hers
violate the laws of physics within 4 dimensions... that is, she can't make a "trick" like levitation persist beyond her direct involvement. she also doesn't know how to make a 3d object that does this. to her it's all an 11d information flow that she alters with her conciousness.
