    • Alien Hive-Mind - Aliens can talk to each other (and transformed slaves), via microwave. This allows them to communicate from anywhere. However, at close range the microwave radiation can be deadly to other creatures (like humans). It can also be used as an intentional weapon, shooting a microwave blast from their hands.

Why are they on earth?

- because they need a watery planet to breed.

- for entertainment.

- to harvest a slave army (why do they need it?)

- curiosity and study (the humans are no threat, but the aliens also don't value them as 'sentient life')

How will the humans ultimately beat the aliens?

- While humans don't know it, aliens are vulnerable to many forms of human disease. (sort of the way the American Indians were vulnerable to smallpox). They are harnessing humans both as continued slaves, and to eradicate the rest of the them and their viruses. This leads to ritual burning of bodies, and strict quarantine/paranoia of anyone who has come in contact directly with humans. Eventually Celeste learns of this, and uses virus material extracted from her b/f to infect the aliens and crush their command structure.

- The alien's need cold fresh water to breed. Celeste has a rare resistance of the alien-control which is what allows her to 'disobey' them and keep her boyfriend alive. She realizes she is unique, and "plays along" to hide it so as not to arouse suspicion. Eventually she learns of their breeding, and realizes the human's can disrupt the cycle by putting something in the water that eats the alien larva before it's grown large enough. They have a massive breeding going on in lake superior. Celeste revolts on her alien masters (with her boyfriend), unites with the resistance (difficult with her unusual alien-modified form), and searches for scientists to help them stop the breeding. Somehow Celeste's new alien-transformation-abilities are involved in her assisting to destroy the huge breeding plan.
