the lid comes off outline

      • Arnold and Kim

        • maybe Kim gets tired of captivity, leaks more and more info, and finally escapes to the outside world

        • outside she becomes instantly famous, as the only enhanced civilian

        • We see her on a tv interview, on-set and off. We see members of the press meeting and reacting to her. Most female reporters focus on how her interactions with men have changed, on account of her superior stature. Most men are uncomfortably awkward. One man, however, very forwardly complements her beauty, asking for her to do a centerfold photoshoot, and finally coming onto her directly. She confesses to having a serious boyfriend, which he digs into with questions (does he know how lucky he is?).

        • When Arnold sees her now, she has amazing custom made clothes, is constantly busy, with an entourage of press and private interests around her. Her modeling photos quickly appear in a high profile ad campaign.

        • She invites him to come with her on her 'press tour'.. he can't just leave his job. "Why? I did." She rattles off the financial details of some of her commission engagements. She's not asking him to quit, just take a leave.

      • Because of the publicity, the Commander travels to defend her program in person. She "makes an entrance", to demonstrate the program. Her stature is a shock and causes even more resistance around the mostly-male committee. They argue. The president silences the room to offer some measured words. He talks about the problem of the transformed civilian. Assigning surveillance and protection to her, in case their enemies target her. He asks about the program effects on men. He asks about health effects, including long term effects. He closes by comparing the technology to the atom bomb, which the US developed first, but which now is well understood by scientists around the globe. He wants to use the advancement to make the country safer, to fight the war on terror. He wants them to be both a symbol and an instrument of their strength. It's imperative that we utilize this weapon, and strike now while we have the advantage. He asks the commander how long it'll take for her to assemble a 200 soldier company each of men and women. The commander and president discuss the issues, including their serum scarcity, meaning they have to choose. They choose to do women first. The room has consternation around them. The commander explains her already in-process expansion of her base to properly house transformed subjects, and how she could increase that effort with the necessary funding, of course.

        • After we know it's safe, the president will recommend to congress to select the finest and most trusted in public service, soldiers, police, firemen - those who are beyond all reproach or corruption, and invite them all to undergo the treatment. (how can we delay this, have it take a while? maybe he just recommends to congress?)

        • Some man in the room objects, "with all due respect, mr president", and he calls for restrictions and secrecy. Comparing it to some other US controlled technology (like encryption, or code breaking, or stealth planes). If they protect it, they can control it. If not, how long before all military women are asking for the treatment, or all women for that matter?

      • Back at the base, the commander informs the doctors of the presidents order, and the need to transform more subjects. Gibbons holds his tongue, while Sarah explains her idea for dramatically increasing yield. Gibbons tries to downplay, "it's just a theory." The commander tells them to work on it immediately.

      • TJ's squad disembarks from the plane, and Chad is there to greet Sarah. Sarah (maxed @ 8'2") asks for leave from TJ, who reminds her that she doesn't need permission as she technically outranks TJ. Sarah literally swoops him off his feet. He was very worried about her. "We are tougher than we thought." She explains the gunshot wounds, the unusual healing. He cuts her off, explaining that he was still worried about her, and he's glad to see her home safe. They kiss. Chad can't help but react to the kiss and her breasts pressing into his lap. Sarah teases him for it, and segways to implied off-screen sex.

      • Back in the barracks, TJ gives the squad a speech. About their good work. About their service to the country. About the special circumstances of their being stuck on the base. Then delivers the 'good news' that the Commander arranged for the entertainment to come to them. Then she parades in a sharply dressed group of men, and a few women -- to hooting and hollering by the squad.

        • at first it's just drinking and music, but it doesn't take long for make-out sessions to start.

        • whose eyes do we see this through? or do we?

      • We see the president's office overwhelmed by requests from high ranking female military personnel to undergo the procedure. He discusses it with his cabinet. Then he discusses it privately with his female chief of staff. At one point he point blank asks her if she would undergo the procedure. She tries not to answer, then finally lets loose. That of course she would, listing off a lifetime of things she has to be 'afraid' about as a woman that would be completely gone. (walking to her car in a dark parking lot, walking her dog at night, answering the door when she's alone, using a public restroom) He asks about how it would affect her personal relationships, she confesses that the job keeps her too busy for a serious relationship. The man she's dating would either be okay with it, or she'd find another.

      • The news reports on a poll of Congress, and how they don't support extending the treatment to public service workers outside the military. And also how the opinions align almost perfectly along gender lines. They discuss. Then they segway into an interview of Kim, probing uncomfortably hard on gender relations issues. Asking if she feels safe in situations women typically feel unsafe (she does). Asking what she would do if put in a compromising situation. Finally, asking how her and Arnold act differently following her transformation. She tries to evade, but the questions get more pointed. "has he ever felt threatened by you? does he defer to you in arguments? have you ever picked him up? how does it feel knowing you could overpower him, or any man? does he respond to you differently since you've transformed? (they only started dating after. he didn't give her the time of day before.) ohh, so he likes you better this way. why do you think that is? (I was a real mousy type, and i guess he's into woman with a little more strength and spunk.) and you certainly have plenty of that now. does it turn him on that you can overpower him?"

        • (try to make the questions embarrassing for Arnold)
