David Romero is raised in a wealthy life of privilege and is about to turn 18
His parents gains came with help from Balor (the devil), and now he wants David.
His parents don't want their son to be taken over, so they defy "Balor", and are killed for it in a freakishly improbable way.
The next day, the family lawyer brings "his assistant" Kora to be David's new "assistant slash butler"
Except Kora is really a 150 year old demon servant of Balor... who remade herself into the perfect young seductress with a slight southern drawl
At first Kora is just helpful and disarming.. like a hot butler/driver.
She makes lunch, gives him massages, drives him around, manages logistics of the house
They attend the funeral together...

"A few times. The day before my birthday, my parents told me to stay away from him. That they wanted me never to be trapped like they were."
"Do you feel trapped right now, David?" He shook his head. "I'm here because Balor sent me to you. None of us know exactly what he wants. What we know is that he gives us anything we desire, and in exchange we give him our loyalty. You're parents fortune, your fortune, is a product of that arrangement, an arrangement Balor is generously willing to continue with you. I'm not here to handle the details, just to let you know that your choice is coming. Choose Balor, and you're world can be filled with wealth and power and experience that you can't imagine. Forsake him, and you may find it suddenly find things slipping through your fingers."
"What are you saying? That Balor can take away my inheritence?"
"Ohh David. He can do whatever he likes. He is the ruler of this world, the Fallen Star. He is the Devil Himself."

"Don't fight it. Relax, and the tension will be gone." It was hard to listen with daggers drilling into his shoulder blades, but he couldn't get up, so he didn't have much of a choice. A minute later, the pain finally started to subside, and she eased her grip, moving her hands a little, and causing him to wince once again until he was able to get that tension to also let go. "Better?" She asked, as she released, and swung around to his side.
"Uhhh, yeah actually," he said, a little delirious from the jello like sensation of floating calm having replaced so much tension. He rotated his right shoulder, and it felt light and effortless. "Whoa, that's really good. So are you some kind of masseuse or something?"
"As you get to know me, you'll find I know how to do a little bit of everything. Right now, you're probably wondering why I'm even here. You're parents were very well off. You've been through alot, and right now the most important thing is for you to be comfortable and process what's happened. "Yes. In the house. You can tell me where. And please don't say no, because I'm already on thin ice with (family lawyer), and he'll just stick me back in the filing room. I'd much rather be here with you, and nobody should be alone after losing their family. It's cruel."
"I guess that makes sense. I still can't believe they're gone." His mind drifted, looking across the kitchen, finding it hard to imagine his mom or dad wasn't going to round the corner into the room and be totally okay. He snapped out of it as she tugged on his arm.
"Earth to David. You're thinking about them aren't you?" He nodded. "I know how horrible it is. I lost my father when I was twelve. One minute he was there, the next he was gone. The world just isn't fair sometimes. You'll start to really feel it when you do things you used to do together, and they are just not there. That's why I'm here. Because people have no idea what they are capable of in the throws of grief, and those who care about you want to be overly careful rather than sorry."
"Okay. I guess that makes sense." He heard everything he said, but it barely registered. Like she was suddenly a million miles away, and his brain was stuck in a fog.
"At some point we'l going to set you up with a professional therapist, but for now, just know that you can tell me anything you want, or nothing at all. Whatever you feel comfortable with." He nodded. He felt like he was falling backwards down a tunnel, and she was talking to him from the other end. "David? You suddenly look really sad. Can I give you a hug." He nodded but didn't move, so she reached around him and firmly squeezed him.
David suddenly felt his eyes welling up, and laid his head down as he started to silently weep. "I..I can't believe they are gone." As he cried, the tunnel and fog faded, and he found himself grasping Kora tightly. His vision blurred with tears, and he wiped his face against her.
