Premise - "Better than Human"
Protective parents buy their college teen a robotic bodyguard, but the model he receives is "special". A research prototype smuggled out of the lab by it's creator, after showing remarkable, but unpredictable behavior.
Background
A radical robot prototype mis-behaves in a way that is remarkable but dangerous. Executives demand her destruction, but the creator disagrees. He swaps her chip into a unit going out in a shipment to save her.
Meanwhile, a wealthy family is threatened, and the over-protective mother insists they get a robotic bodyguard for their son at college. "It's only $16M. That's a small price to pay for our only child's safety"
Dad talks mom into getting him a female bodyguard? Dad: "this isn't going to be a sexbot bimbette, look at the female bodyguard models".... Intro
Andrew and Bradley - seemingly normal 'punk' kids arriving to college... though with Andrew having an obscenely nice apartment, and Bradley commenting about his family money
Andrew's parents getting whisked to a safe room because of a suspicious van and recent threats on their life. They watch on cameras as two men from the van come into the house with hand-guns, and the swat team arrives to take them down. Afterwords, the wife is hysterical, especially wanting to know why.. the husband "trusts in their systems", that kept them safe. "this is why we have security, and a safe room". Then the wife becomes concerned for their son.
The son @ school, with a bodyguard at the door and on the phone with his father about what happened. "Still, Dad. You can't send me around school with a bodyguard. It'll be social suicide." - "I understand son. It'll just be for a few days. Let me talk to your mother."
The compromise
Parents talk, and Dad wants to pull the bodyguard. The wife refuses. He asks about a robot instead. It's against school policy, but Dad explained the situation, and that and a big donation is enough to get them to make an exception.
And another thing, Dad thinks they should make it a female model. "Absolutely Not," mom says at first. "Hear me out. He's an adult now, and he's not going to stand for a suit-wearing bodyguard babysister. I could barely get him to agree to be followed for a week. But if we meet him half way, give him something that can fit-in on campus, something his friends are curious about, maybe he won't mind it so much. And this isn't some sexbot bimbette. Delivery
The father shows up at college, and breaks the news of the compromise to their son, that he's going to have a robot bodyguard, which he's not thrilled about. The father alludes to 'wait til you open it'. Instead of an awkward hunk of metal, the robot is a female humanoid mimic, and an extremely attractive one. (nobody knows she's also the one-of-a-kind research prototype). (pic pic pic). "Holy shit, dad, you got me a mimic? These cost almost twenty million dollars. And she's super hot! Mom is okay with this?" He walked up the unit, inspecting it.
"She wasn't at first, but I convinced her that if we met you halfway, made it not terrible for you, that you'd be more likely to keep it, and knowing you're safe will put your mother at ease. There are a few strings. It's going to make sure you don't cause too much trouble, or slack off in your studies. If you do, it'll warn you, and if you don't listen, it's authorized to contact me. However, I drew the line at remote tele-access, so you'll have complete privacy. The last thing I want is your mother spying on you. So you and your friends can have some fun with it, just don't overdo it. If this doesn't work out, you may be back to a bodyguard in a suit, understand.
"I get it. Wow. Thanks Dad. I've never even seen a mimic before. Can I turn her on?"

Andrew powers up the robot. She introduces herself as Danika, states her primary objective(s), authorizes the son as her primary user.
The robot is remarkably smart, learns fast, but is awkwardly emotionless and "robotic".
She does small tasks, like making his bed, straightening his apartment. Cooking. She follows him to class, sitting patiently outside the classroom door until each class is over.
She changes clothes right in front of him with no modesty.
