The TMP is an important communication tool. It provides clarity about future treatment options for workers who are likely to require more than 10 consultations. It also provides insurers and self-insurers with a mechanism to determine whether the treatment and costs are reasonable under the workers’ compensation legislation.
Where a worker is likely to require more than 10 consultations the TMP should be completed between the 2nd and 3rd treatment. This proactive approach encourages therapeutic alliance with all parties and establishes a open and transparent framework for communication.

Once completed please email reception to have it sent to the insurer and for billing to occur. Reception in turn will also put it on the spreadsheet in X:drive - scans folder for referencing. If you have not heard back within 4 working days then please make contact with the insurer to discuss the status. Please document contact within Nookal and on the spreadsheet.
TMPs attract a fee. Please note that there is a maximum 3 TMPs and/or progress reports. Additional plans or reports will require approval.
