Greet patients as per normal, they might give a name and reason here eg. Medical.
If not get name, click arrive- be sure to arrive on both appointments if they are split between 2 therapists.
Get photo ID from them- usually easier to get a drivers license
Grab the correct paperwork from the line and take the Details form and ID to the scanner
The ID is to be placed face down in line with the marking on the scanner.
The details page to be turned upside down and the writing to be upside if read
The title should be closest to you. Put the lid down and press start (green button)
Once scanned on open lid remove ID and paper, put on the clipboard and instruct the client to complete ALL paperwork that is between the sticky note. Make sure to include initials section (bottom of pages on relevant paperwork).
Instruct once done give back to reception. Check that all paperwork that is required is completed- take the clipboard then put into the toaster rack next to the scanner (the therapist will take this when they take the client through)
Private- Appointment will be pink (initial) or green (follow up)
Workcover- Appointment should be orange
EPC- Appointment should be grey
Details form to be given when the clients name is in ALL CAPITALS, Star filled in, or if WC from Private (requiring additional details)
Patients who have a star outline- just verbally check if their details are still correct and up to date
Hand the correct paperwork- instruct to complete the first page ONLY
Once you receive the document back check all the information to make sure they haven’t missed out details or put ‘todays’ date in the DOB section.
Scan the document into the scans file- using the naming system Surname, Firstname (D.O.B) Patient details Form day.month.year
Attach this document to the clients nookal file into the correct case they are seeing the therapist for.
