§ Select the patient’s appointment

§ Select “Generate Invoice”

§ Check if they have any stock and add it to the invoice

§ Ask if they have private health

· Swipe private health card on Hicaps Machine

· Select correct Provider

· Type in Client’s Number (this will be in on private health card)

· Type in the appointment Code (ie Subsequent Physio – 505)

· Check to make sure the price is correct (ie Subsequent Physio - $95)

· Get the client to sign the Merchant receipt

§ For the gap remaining ask if the patient is paying cash or card

· Cash take correct amount – use calculator is required

· Card – ask if they are taping, inserting, or swiping. Make sure to add stock price if required

§ Put the amount into Nookal and print the Invoice

§ Staple the customer copies of eftpos receipts to the A4 invoice and give to the client

• EPC

§ Check whether the client is With or Without Gap

§ Check they also have EPC appointments available and advise how many they have left

§ Check if they have any stock

· Without Gap is for clients 65 and over, and for clients with a pension/concession card

§ If they are with gap they will only need to pay $25/$50

§ Make sure to charge any stock

§ Generate Invoice

§ Put in payment for $25/$50 and stock

§ Save the Invoice – there should be $55.10 remaining which medicare will pay
