This is an extremely important part of the Practice's Code of Conduct and must always be adhered to by all staff members.
The legal requirement of confidentiality extends from the practice principal(s) to the staff. Breaches of confidentiality will not be tolerated.
VERBAL BREACH: Discussion of patients’ conditions with staff members, families, friends and others.
VISUAL BREACH: Leaving patients files in full view of any other party.
AUDITORY BREACH: Discussing patient matters in a loud and unprofessional manner in hearing range of others nearby.
All employees are required to sign a Confidentiality Statement.
