IFC/Ultrasound Machines

Please be advised that IFC / US machines can experience catastrophic and non-repairable failure from individuals failing to observe the appropriate use and care of the machine. In particular:

• The ultrasound lead must be kept free of twists as this can cause breakage within the lead which can cause shortage of the Ultrasound head and shortage of the circuit boards within the unit
• DO NOT bump or jar the machines as this can cause dislodgment of the circuit boards and cause faults (so be careful when wheeling them around the treatment room over things such as cords).

It is your professional responsibility to ensure safe use and care of the machines provided for your use within this clinic. If you do not observe the above you may be held liable for replacement costs should you fail to comply with the above stated requests.

OTHER EQUIPMENT

Other equipment used within the clinic including items such as blood pressure cuffs, stopwatches, heart rate monitors, grip dynamometers, pilates machines, treadmills, bicycles, treatment tables should only be operated in the manner in which they have been designed.

Regular and routine inspection should be performed prior to use.

Machinery should be turned off or returned to the appropriate “storage state” to prevent breakages and faults.
