My work was made with a pencil, alcohol based prismacolor markers, a thick piece of recycled paper. To start off I made a rough sketch with pencil to get a rough outline of the most prominent shapes in my collage. Next, I found markers that matched the colors I wanted and the same with colored pencils. My art started as a pencil sketch and morphed into a abstract colorful piece of art.

Throughout my illustration I used color to add emphasis. so it didnt get bo bussy I stuck with a small colorpalette to make sure there was still a sense of unity to my work. i also spread out the shapes of the virus to add some informal balance.

This illustration is speaking on the subject of unemployment. Because of the COVID19 pandemic people are losing their jobs because many business are being forced to close. This project relates to my life because my family is experiencing loss of work due to COVID. My favorite part of my artwork is the mask and eyes I added on top of the globe, it add a lot of character to the piece. one thing I struggled with was the initial shape of the mask. I just had to keep at it and it and it came out well.
