SI 7, Cafe La Minute

Ideas: My idea for this street painting was to make a warm sunny afternoon feeling street scene. I wanted it to feel cozy and inviting like an idyllic fall street, leaves in the cooling air but the sun still feels warm.

Materials: Watercolor and gouache

Process: I used a yellow wash in the background and added yellow to all colors I mixed to create a warm feel. The wash in the background also unifies the piece The falling leaves in the air and red are warm and pleasant creating a pleasant atmosphere. The tree and tidy greenery adds to the well kempt idyllic fall street feel.
