extended blind contour drawing

My Idea was inspired by myself. Sense this was built off self portraits I found shapes and items that I liked. Fore example, I have been interested in rugs recently, so I drew some. I surf and I love the ocean so I drew things that represent those passions.

for materials, I used Primsacolor markers, sharpies and a few colored pencils. The markers I used, blend very well which helps my artistic process.

I started off with basically scribbles all over a piece of paper, I looked for shapes and patterns and areas that interested my eye. This guided me forwards with what I was emphasizing in my drawing. As I added thing in like a rug I looked for something else to balance it out. i wanted my lines to have lots of motion and energy showing the emotional connection to the piece sene it's a more personal piece. nevertheless, with loose messy lines I still used color and line weight to create unity and balance through an overall, chaotic piece.
