abstracting design

For this project we exaggerated and elaborated upon an element of design. My element of design was perspective. For this project I started off by making my pyramids with a ruler. I then traced them with a purple marker and added designs inside them. I then shaped the waves around them starting with the blue outline arn working inwards with progressively darker greens. To experiment with marker combinations I uses scrap paper and testes different colors next to and overlapping each other. First my only idea was the pyramids so I just hucked it and thought of the wave background as a drew.

I used line and color to create from in the wave and the pyramids. I used line to create movement in the fish and the lines in the waves. I used color to add value to the waved and the pyramids. I used texture to create pattern in the fish and the pyramids.

There is no specific story however it seems like the pyramids are temples worshiping fish, waves, the sun and, moon. A presence of evil is shown in the form of snakes. A human presence is found in the abstract face drawings. The human n' evil is shown confronting with their tongues directed towards each other in an accusatory manner. I'm proudest of the intricate patterns in the pyramids and the fish.
