SI 15, Cozy bluebird

Idea:For this project I created a cozy closed in space for this eastern blue bird to sit in the middle of. The original image is open and airy, i wanted to draw focus to the bird at the center.

Materials: To create the layering and color scheme i was looking for I used colored pencils on top of markers.

To create essentially a vignette around the bird in the middle, I used darker greens around the edg in the background and lines made by the leaves and branches additionally frame the bird. Some of the branches also point to the bird. This closed in, centered composition along with soft colors creates a cozy place for the bluebird to sit at the center of the image.
