duality

TWOlips 

For this project, I wanted my aspect of duality to be more cleaver than anything. I was aksing around for poeples ideas on a cleaver pun looking for something that would fit. I had a couple ideas like ground beef, that I would repersent with a cow shaoed form amde out of ground beef looking clay. But nothing stuck with me foir more than a few fleeting moments. One moening my mom was talkign baout oru blooming tlips and it occored how it sounds like two lips so thats ware my idea came from. The crafting process was really reasy before they dried, then I had to be very gentle due to the thin stems. I created a sphier and smoshed it out like I was making a handle for a mug, but I left one end bulky for the lips. I then smushed out petals from little peices of clay and formed and atached them gently around the lips. Then I chose glazes that would match the cloor of lips (red), and flowers.

overall im really happy with this project and I'm ecxited to put them in a vase at home. If I did this project again I might have made them a littler smaller and had longer stems so they were slightly more proporsonial. But therie would have been a lot of risk of breackage then.
