on this day

on this day

on this day

flies share the acoustic hums

sipping our overflowing rhapsodic juices

on this day

cow pads breed vibrant pearls and rainclouds

while ocotillo collage forests

saturate copper studded Dixie Canyon

rebounding all green

succulent fruit ripening,

spreading

on this day

dawn infuses the earth with early morning clarity

while ghost patterns appear off shade reflections

on this day

Mother Ocean's pasture lies not so distant,

for here tides shift our Lives around too,

first upfront in rosy orange peel essence

then back again to distant sources,

so breathlessly intimate

on this day

Love comes

so easy to Love,

secrets become non-existent,

and somewhere deep inside my woman’s womb

yet another valley breathes,

washed over brilliantly,

as another Rainy Season quenches the sunburnt earth

of a much deeper thirst,

awakening some kind of exact aliveness!
