Plato

oh Plato

your Ideal thoughts have captivated my mind,

and it appears my heart shall never be content

existing in what is called the “real world” by “real people”.

my every thought filters through your paragraphs of Beauty

and as I try making sense of myself,

will I ever somehow find you, Sir?

at times I float in and out of your visionary world,

Ideas and Forms drifting through the reality of the pure and sincere,

yet I still compose, fully aware

I myself am only a mere “copy”

inhabiting this “particular world” of sin and fabrication.

Dear Sir, have you ever truly visited that "Idea" you speak of?

Ever fly to that place?

Wander there by accident like Newton?

Did you truly live there, Sir?
