where rhymes speak some truth
scribbling bout those times
faraway climes
where dumptrucks unload insignificant minds
where collective words ring out like chimes
untying those binds
(and then) Writers Workshop went pop
where selected poets danced bebop
where anthologized authors belleyflopped
where those testifying waitresses
dressed in rainbow
reasons,
whatever seasons…
life’s deep,
a long song...
joyful unforgiving breaths sweet,
recycled back to inspire new life
for those of us left after the deluge,
to carry on the pop,
to dance with the bebop.
