trawling, sinking below the great Missouri River Reservoir–

today’s the grand opening,

this hot July morning

we pull into town

commin down from so far up,

red eyed and feelin no pain no more–

coastin in from the free open winds of the American Night Highway

we rode that boat beyond all casualties

beyond gears spinnin and oil leakin,

dialed into the perfect time (4/4)

to make it to wherever she needs to go

lucky this wagon and crew found that groove

that must be forged

that balance between man and machine,

this time the gas peddle right foot is lighter

no hesitation

a tank filled to the max with extra octane
