辻井伸行さんのピアノの音

ツレが珍しくショパンを聞いていたのですが、演奏は誰？と思える程素直な美しい演奏だった。うん。絶対日本人じゃないね。アシケナージ的な優等生な演奏に近い。でも、アシケナージではない。ブーニンかな？こんな柔らかな弾き方してたっけか……とか色々思いめぐらせたら辻井伸行さんの演奏だった。

ピアニストとしては当然だけど、普通のピアニスト以上にピアノを自分の身体のように弾きこなしています。とにかく音が奇麗です。他の作曲家の曲はまだ聞いていないのですが、ショパンはこれで良いと思います。（ものすごい高い位置からの物言い失礼）ショパン自身、自分がピアノピースで意図以外の演奏を良しとしなかった人なので（晩年、自分が無視して名演奏をしてしまった事もあったようですが、ドンマイ←オイ）。

で、辻井伸行さんは、どうやって音楽を習得したのかと想像すると、周囲の人が楽譜を読んで教えたのもあるとは思うのですが、やはり名演奏を聞いて楽曲を覚えたのだと思います。彼がどのピアニストの楽曲を聞いて覚えたのかは知らないのですが、音の判りやすさから優等生的な演奏を選んだにちがいないであろうし、たぶん、それを越える音や演奏を目指したのでしょう。

彼は本当の意味で、本当に耳が良いのだと思います。

By chance, I was listening to a Chopin performance. Who is playing? It was a beautiful performance that seems straightforward enough. Yeah. I thought, definitely not Japanese. An good student of Askenazy? But it is not Ashikenzy. Bunin? It has a soft touch ... and <to my surprise> it was from an album of Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii.

More than ordinary pianists, he plays the piano with his whole body. The sound is beautiful anyway. I still have not heard him play composers other than Chopin and don't know how good he is at that. (Getting on my high horse) I think Chopin is played by most people not as it is intended...

I imagine how Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii learned his music. He was taught to read music by people around him, and must have listened to many excellent performances. I don't know if he listens to any particular pianists. And I don't know if he remembers the music of any pianists. It is easy for a good student to play music without mistake, but it is much harder to develop a sound beyond that.

In a true sense of the term, he has really good ears.

辻井伸行～風の香り、色の表現～

「僕は、母からいろんなことを教わりました。

色の概念。

顔に触れる風。

物の型。

全ては、目が見える子供と同じように

教えてくれました。

もちろん、色の概念なんて難しかったけど。

今の音楽の全ての根本になっていると思います。」

そんな話しを、とある番組で話していました。

この間、TVで辻井伸行さんが言っていた。｢盲目のピアニストではなく、ピアニストの僕がたまたま盲目なんだと色々なところで話しています。｣と。人はハンディをマイナスと捉える。でも、ハンディを持っている人達の方が私達よりずっと心が強くて前向きだ。時にはその凄さを羨ましく思うことも。

On TV, Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii said, " Rather than a blind pianist , I would like to be evaluated as a pianist who is blind by chance. ".

しかし、このピアニストが紹介されるたびに、少しおかしいのではないかと思うことがよくあった。

それは、必ずと言っていいほど「盲目の」という言葉がつくことである。

先日、たまたま辻井さんのインタビューをみた。

辻井さんはこのようにおっしゃっていた。

「ひとりのピアニストとして評価されたい」

当然であろう。

これは教育現場でもよくある。

「・・・なのによく頑張ったね」と褒めることである。

ハンディキャップに対する配慮がないのは論外であろうが、しかしながらハンディキャップがあるのに頑張ったねは、果たして、いいことなのだろうか。

...

そのためにこそ、辻井さんの「盲目の」や、「・・・なのに」をやめるべきではないか。

辻井さんは、純粋にピアニストなのである。 ...

Why put the word "blind" with Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii"?

to praise <a student with disability> with "Nevertheless (なのに) you did real well ...".

This is why, the label of "blind" should not be used with Mr. Tsujii, with the implication of "... nevertheless".
