Nobu triumphed at the Carnegie Hall May 10 2019

He was a last-minute substitute for eminent pianist Murray Perahia and took some swipes from certain journalists for it.

But the Carnegie Hall was packed on May 10 and the bravos and standing ovations for Nobu were, as Nobu's management team put it, like nothing we had experienced.

I am happy to have been there.

Thank you, Tsujii-san, you are ON A ROLL and please keep it going!

The Fukuoka Acros Concert Hall in Japan is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a display of photos of some key performances that took place at the venue, including one of Nobu performing with Mo. Vladimir Ashkenazy and the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa in 2013.

Believe it or not, I was at that concert -- they played Chopin's piano concerto no. 2 and Nobu played 2 encores (Chopin's nocturne no. 20 and Revolution.)
