♪ September 28 "Hayabusa2: Japanese robots land on moving asteroid in world first"
In an impressive technological feat, Japan's Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has successful launched two robots on a moving asteroid, and produced high-resolution photos and videos of the asteroid's surface. The robots were launched by a space probe named Hayabusa 2.
"Hayabusa2, about the size of a large fridge and equipped with solar panels, is the successor to JAXA’s first asteroid explorer, Hayabusa – Japanese for falcon"
In year 2011, there was a film released in Japan about the Hayabusa probe, 『はやぶさ 遥かなる帰還』(The Return of the Hayabusa), and Nobu wrote the film's theme music, which you can listen to on this YouTube video, starting at time mark 1:05.

♪ September 27 A pianist with a disability alleges discrimination by some U.K. orchestras
There is an ongoing thread of discussion on the "slipped disc" blog of British music journalist Norman Lebrecht, "UK orchestras said he was Trouble"
http://slippedisc.com/2018/09/uk-orchestras-said-he-was-trouble/
Pianist Nick Van Bloss has alleged on social media that "several British orchestras have conspired to exclude him from their programmes. The pianist, 51, suffers from Tourette’s Syndrome, a disability that involves severe tics which, he says, do not affect his playing."
This thread is of interest because two of the orchestra named are the Liverpool Phil and the Philharmonia, with whom Nobu has performed. So, I felt compelled to chime in.
My comments show up near the bottom of the page => http://slippedisc.com/2018/09/uk-orchestras-said-he-was-trouble/#comment-498316
UPDATE A representative of the CBSO (City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra) has responded to this matter, and among the illuminating information provided is this:
http://slippedisc.com/2018/09/no-response-from-orchestra-to-collusion-charges/
"I had no idea that [pianist Nick Van Bloss] had a disability (and nor did any of my planning team), and that therefore there could not possibly have been any discrimination. We receive dozens of approaches about soloists every week, and can at best offer opportunities to some 10-15 pianists per season, all of the highest international standard."
It really is a jungle out there for concert pianists, and we are fortunate that we get to see Nobu perform with so many fine orchestras.
I wish Mr. Van Bloss well.
