Nobu's next public performance will be his tour in Europe February 9-26 => Nobuyuki Tsujii in Europe, Winter 2017

The Bach/Mozart/Beethoven Japan Recital Tour resumes in March.

Nobu will be on tour February 9-16, as the soloist for Grieg's Piano Concerto with Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg and conductor Marco Letonja, on a program titled "Romantiques" (BERLIOZ Overture le Corsiare, GRIEG concerto, SCHUMANN Symphony No. 3).

Two of the performances will take place in Strasbourg, France; then Nobu will go on tour in Germany/Switzerland with the orchestra for 4 more performances of the program, including a Valentine's Day concert in Basel.

Tickets for the July 19 premium recital in Nagoya came on sale today. This was the first announced premium recital and the first one to come on general sale. By 11AM it was declared sold out on PIA concert ticket site.

I previously predicted that recording session in Berlin -- and I am almost certain that the tracks will be those from his Bach/Mozart/Beethoven recital, to appear on a CD coming out later this year.

音の旅人 The Sound Traveler

2月1日発売の「家庭画報」3月号から、「音の旅人」と題した辻井伸行の連載が始まった。

毎月4～5ページのカラー連載ゆえ、彼のコンサートに同行したり、インタビューをしたり、さまざまな取材をすることになっている。

実は、この2月のフランス、スイス、ドイツ公演の密着レポートを行う予定だったが、諸般の事情から出張はキャンセルとなった。

でも、この連載は、辻井伸行をデビュー当時から取材し続けている私にとって、とても大きな意義をもつ。

ぜひ、彼の活動の詳細を読者に伝え、ひとりでも多くの人がナマの演奏に触れたいと思ってもらえるよう、興味深い記事を書いていきたいと思う。

さて、今後のページ構成はどうなるのだろうか。また、Sさんとじっくり打ち合わせをしなくては…。

Starting with the March issue of "Family Illustrated" released on February 1, there is to be a series on Nobuyuki Tsujii entitled "Sound Traveler".

For the color serial of 4 to 5 pages every month, I am to accompany him at his concerts for various interviews.

Actually, I was going to do a closely related report of his performances in France, Switzerland and Germanyin February, but my business trip was canceled due to various circumstances.

However, this series has a great significance to me, who has continued to interview Nobuyuki Tsujii since his debut.

By all means, I would like to tell the readers the details of his activities, so that many people may experience his performances. I would like to write interesting articles. Well, what about future articles? Also, I have to make a thorough discussion with S-san ....

あーーーー！五嶋龍さん最高だった！辻井伸行さんの音が綺麗すぎた！！帰りの電車は最悪だったけど演奏が素晴らしすぎた！泣けた！ Ahhh! Mr. Ryu Goto was the best! Nobuyuki Tsujii's sound was too beautiful! The train on the way back was the worst but the performance was wonderful! I cried!

It is not clear if it is Tchaikovsky's or Chopin's concerto. The program is scheduled to air in Japan on February 26.

The performance took place at 18:45 in Suntory Hall, just before the venue closes for renovation. The audience were those who applied for admission tickets and won through a sweepstake.

Nobu's name is listed with a bunch of other young Japanese performers; and the performance will be with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

今週は2位、3位、18位に辻井伸行のアルバムが一挙チャートインした。年末年始にドキュメンタリー番組が放送され、1月はじめから開催していた日本ツアー「バッハ・モーツァルト・ベートーヴェン」が影響したと思われる。3月にもツアー後半戦が待ち構えており、今年もチャートを賑わせるアーティストになりそうだ。

This week, the albums of Nobuyuki Tsujii charted at the 2nd, 3rd, & 18th place. It seems the documentary programs broadcasted around New Year, as well as the 'Bach Mozart Beethoven' Japanese tour held since early January might have had an influence. The second half of the tour will start in March and it is likely that this artist will do well on the chart this year.

Looks like those Chopin encores did the trick to elevate the Chopin CD to almost the top (except for a New Year concert album of the Vienna Phil and Dudamel.) Unfortunately, without the tour concerts this month, these albums are likely going to drop off the chart.

This time, Nobuyuki showcased Bach's song for the first time at a recital. And in addition to Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, musicians with different interests.

今回のコンサートには、10歳の時から伸行を可愛がってくださっている、

長嶋茂雄監督もいらしてくださいました

Director Shigeo Nagashima, whom Nobuyuki has adored since age 10, came to the concert.
