A few month ago, a good friend sent me a CD recorded by a young Japanese pianist named Nobuyuki Tsujii. I had never heard of this young man, but according to my friend, Mr.Tsujii is a musical phenomenon. Of course, I immediately listened to the CD.

Mr.Tsujii's performance was magnificent. Thanks to his extraordinary technique, he made the piano "speak" to his listeners. As his fingers raced across the piano key, he expressed the emotions in his heart. His playing was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. My friend was right. Mr.Tsujii is indeed a musical phenomenon.

At that point I was eager to learn more about this talented young pianist. I googled his name and discovered, much to my surprise, that he had been born blind. Despite this handicap-or perhaps because of it-he loved music. When he was seven, he won first prize in a competition for blind Japanese music students. Three years later, he started performing with important music students. Three years later, he started performing with important symphony orchestras in Japan. Then in 2009, he became the first Japanese pianist to win the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Since then, he has had a busy schedule performing in Japan and abroad.

辻井伸行プレミアム・リサイタル

約１年ぶりの辻井君。

前回はまだ子供らしさを残す無邪気さを感じたけど

１年が経ち、どう変化しただろうと楽しみだった。

少し大人っぽくなったけど彼の音はとにかく清廉、純真。

今回のプログラムはアンコールまでそんな彼の音に合ったプログラムだった。

ラヴェルのソナチネはまるでラムネ色のゼリーの中を

シャンパンの細かな泡が立ち上るようなイメージ。

ラヴェルだけどドビュッシーのようなかわいらしさ。

ショパンのバラード、ピアノソナタは

時に優しく、時に大きなうねり。

でも彼の純粋さのためかちょっと真っ直ぐすぎかも。

そしてアンコールの水の戯れ。

これはもう絶品の素晴らしさ。

どの曲も技巧的な難度の高いものだったけど

そんなことはみじんも感じさせず

ただただキラキラとした輝きがホールに広がり

すべてを洗い流し包み込んでくれるような心地よさ。

ここにいられる幸せを感じられる演奏というものにはそうそう出会えない。

Mr. Tsujii after about a year.

And last time I felt the quality of innocence like that of a child.

One years has passed, and I was curious ifit has changed.

He was a little more like an adult, but honesty and the sincerity of his sound was unchanged.

This program was a program that matches such sound until his encores.

Ravel's Sonatine was like jelly of color like lemon soda

Image fine bubbles of champagne rising.

It's Ravel with the cuteness of Debussy.  

The ballade and sonata of Chopin: Sometimes gentle, with big undulation. But perhaps they were a little too straightforward because of  his pureness?

And the encore "Water Play" was also splendid. 

It's an extremely difficult work, but there was no choppiness in his playing.

It was nothing but twinkles that was spread throughout  the Hall.

I was wrapped in comfort and washed away.

Comfort, such as wrapped me wash away all.

It's not often that I feel happiness at a performance such as I did here.

ピアノと寿司 ー『ラ・カンパネラ』

熱中症警報発令の今日。夜勤明けで眠いのに部屋が暑すぎて眠れない。クーラーをつけないと一時間以内に死にそうな気がする。つけたらつけたで、身体の調子 は狂う。リモコンでつけたり消したり、横になってゴロゴロと無駄な時間を過ごした。そしてついに日は落ちて、蜩が啼き始めた。無駄の仕上げにさらに無駄な 文を書いてみる。

脳の中心は眠っているのに意識は眠らない。こんなときは他にできることがないので音楽を聴く。我が家に音楽プレイヤーはないので、ノートパソコンにつないだイヤフォンを耳に差し込んで、横になる。映像は見ない。

ラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲第二番はスケールが巨大過ぎて、六畳間で聴くと違和感がすさまじい。今すぐにでも船に乗って世界に旅立たなければいけない気分 になる。作曲家って、一体何なのだろう。私が何度生まれかわって何をどれだけ積み重ねても、その延長にラフマニノフはいない。音楽が人間と神の中間にある 雲みたいなものだとしたら、それを表現してしまう作曲家というのは、「普通じゃない」ことは確かだ。「天才」という言葉すら生易しい。多分、別の星から私 達に音楽をプレゼントしにきた宇宙人なのだろう。そうでないとおかしい。

ラ・カンパネラ。リストの超有名曲というぐらいは分かるが、パ ガニーニのバイオリン協奏曲の一部をピアノ用にリストが編曲したものだとは知らなかった。パガニーニ×リスト…そんな贅沢でエッジの効いた掛け合わせの産 物だったとは。特にクラシックファンでもなければ、日本の大衆の間ではフジコ・ヘミングがこの曲の奏者として有名、かもしれない。

それ で、もうクソ暑いとしか言いようのない部屋で私は寝っ転がって『ラ・カンパネラ』を聴くことにした。動画サイトの右サイドに曲名と辻井伸行君の名前が表示 されていたのをクリックしただけだが。だるいし眠いし、超絶技巧な曲を聴く気分じゃないけど、しょうがない。そう思って目をつぶって聴いていた時。意外な ことに途中から涙が出てきた。

訳が分からないが、なんて悲しい曲なのだろう。これは技巧のための技巧でなく、ただ自然界における恐ろし いほど完全な調和というものを人間もやってみたい、という憧れを体現するための技巧なのだ。それはひどく悲しい。ひたすら悲しい。こんなにも人間は不完全 で、争いをやめることができないのに。今この瞬間にもガザでは人々が殺されているのに。宇宙人はこんなふうに「調和」の美しさを証明し、分かりやすく、美 しく書き残してくれたのに。地上の私達はこんなにも愛を求めているのに。切ない。切ない。ああ悲しい。そう思って聴いていたら終盤になるほど涙が止まらず 久々にウワーと泣く。思い通りにならないことで駄々をこねる子どものような、原始的な悲しみだった。

私の言葉が陳腐だということは脇に おいて、「作曲家」というものの存在、霊的な存在感というものがダイレクトに感じられるものが、私にとってはよい演奏、好きな演奏である。ピアニストの存 在など消えてしまうほど作曲家が前面に出てくるような演奏が好きだ。それは非常に個人的な実感に基づく基準であり、玄人の音楽批評の基準は私にはサッパリ 分からない。ピアニストを感じさせないピアノがいい。それは無理やりに例えるなら「寿司と寿司職人」に似ている。

数年前まで、この世に は「寿司屋」が存在した。そのお店は傾きそうなほど小さく古そうに見えたが、寿司は桁外れにおいしかった。特に中トロが。ああそうか、この世には「寿司」 と「それ以外」があるんだな、そしてここは「寿司屋」なんだな。そう思わせるお店だった。貧乏人には安くしてくれる、人情のあるお店でもあった。そのお店 がなくなってから、私にとってはこの世から寿司屋が消えたのと同じだった。

寿司がうまい、というのは、魚がうまいということ。だから寿 司というものは、まず仕入れにかかっている。何が言いたいかというと、私にとって、寿司職人というのは、ただ最高の素材を「そのまま」私に食べさせてくれ る人のことであり、それはピアニストも同じだと言うこと。寿司職人もピアニストも、魚の前に、楽曲の前にどれだけ自分を消せるか、自分の技術をどれだけ跡 形もなく消せるか、が、肝心なのではなかろうか。そういう意味では私が今日、たまたま聞いた辻井君の『ラ・カンパネラ』には、彼の存在が感じられなかっ た。作曲家と私の間には、誰もいなかった。

毀誉褒貶かまびすしいイングリッド・フジ子・ヘミングの『ラ・カンパネラ』も聴いてみた。同 じ曲でこれだけ「色」が違うのは本当に面白い。辻井君の演奏が天国への階段を駆け上るのに比べ、フジ子の演奏は海に沈んでゆく夕陽を眺める人の追憶のよう だ。過ぎ去った痛みや喜びが、残照の中できらめいている。私はピアノを弾く技術のことはさっぱり分からないが、辻井君や外国の若い演奏家と比べてみるとフ ジ子・ヘミングの演奏は確かに重い。それは生きること、生き延びること、歳を取ることのの重さなのかもしれない。彼女の『ラ・カンパネラ』の中には彼女自 身がいる。ピアノを弾き終えた後、舞台を去る彼女の歩き方、後ろ姿にそれが現れている。

「消費者」の癖で、音楽に対していつも批評的立 場を取ろうとすることは、もったいないことだ。誰がどう言ってるかなんて知らなくてもいい。それはうまい中トロを前にマグロについての講釈を聞かされるの に似ている。他の誰でもない、自分の舌でしか、世界を味わうことはできない。

Today a heat stroke warning was issued.

The room was too hot to sleep in even as night turned to dawn.

I felt like I would die within an hour if I did not put on the cooler.

The center of the brain stayed conscious even as I tried to fall asleep.  At a time like this there was nothing to do but listen to music.  Since there is no music player at home, I put on earphones connected to a laptop and laid down, without looking at the video.

La Campanella. I know it is a very famous song by Liszt, but did not know that it was composed by Liszt and arranged for the piano from a violin concerto of Paganini. 

And  thus it is a cross product of Paganini ×  Liszt  with edgy luxury.  It is not particularly favored by classical music fans.  To the Japan public, Fujiko Hemming might be famous as a player of this song.

So, I decided to listen to "La Campanella" [on YouTube] ...  Although I just clicked the song title, the  name of Nobuyuki Tsujii was displayed on the right side of the video site. I was dull with sleepiness, and not exactly in the humor to listen to virtuoso music, but it could not be helped.  I thought so as I closed my eyes to listen .  To my surprise, tears came out in the middle.

Without knowing the reason, I felt a sadness in the song.   It is not about the finesse of the technique, but just a yearning for a harmony that human beings to strike with nature.  It is a technique that embodies a longing that is terribly sad.  Humans seem unable to stop fighting. People are being killed in Gaza at this very moment.  The beauty of the "harmony" is easy to understand but it is beyond me to express it in beautiful prose.  

We who live on the ground yearn for love so much.  Painful. Painful.   Oh, the sadness.  And I  cried for the first time in many years.   Wow, the tears may never stop if I keep listening, I thought.  Such as children who whine to be perverse, it was primitive sadness.

As an aside, it may be a corny thing to say, but I believe in the feeling of  the existence of a  spiritual presence of the "composer"; and a good performance, my favorite, is one that makes me feel the presence most keenly.   I like playing that puts the composer in front while the presence of the pianist vanishes. It is my own personal feeling and not a  standard of music criticism experts.  A pianist has to feel good on a piano.  It is similar to "sushi chef and sushi".

Until a few years ago, "sushi" was present in this world. The shop looked old and tiny, but the sushi was enormously delicious.  Fatty tuna belly.  But now we have "sushi" in this world in shops that don't care about humanity, and sushi has disappeared in the world for me just as the old shop.

I've heard of the public clamor for Ingrid Fujiko Hemming's "La Campanella".   Although the same song is played, the difference in "colors" is really interesting. By comparison,  the performance of Mr. Tsujii climbs the stairs to heaven, while the playing of Fujiko is like a recollection of people who watch the setting sun lowering in the sea. The pleasure and pain went by, sparkling in the afterglow.  I have no idea about the technique of playing the piano, but the playing of Fujiko Hemming is heavy indeed as compared with the young musician Tsujii on a foreign stage. To live, to survive, might be a weight carried by the old.  After she played her "La Campanella", she walked herself to leave the stage, and the memory vanishes behind her.

As "consumer", it is always futile to take a critical stance against music.   How do you know?  It is similar to being told about how good the Toro was before the Koshaku tuna .  It cannot be explained to someone when it is not possible to taste it in the world.

Nobuyuki Tsujii concert tickets GET

This morning, when I watched  KBC , there was suddenly an announcement of ticket pre-release for the concert of Nobuyuki Tsujii & the Royal Liverpool Phil.

Mother and I have been talking about going together and we were jumping for joy.  We had kept a clipping from Oita newspaper for a while.

Performance is not until January 30 next year - how come tickets are selling so soon?

 "Pre-sale has started now, " it was said on the TV urgently.  I got on the phone in a hurry.

... Connected to Lawson Tickets ...

General release is on July 27 , and I had a feeling that one has to be super lucky to get tickets then.

However, I had not decided on  the type of tickets.

The voice guidance steadily urged  me to go ahead.

I thought of splurging for S seats, but at  ¥21000 each, well

¥ 63,000  for 3 persons in the family .. (Sweat)

Without knowing what is a good price, I decided on A seats.

The voice guidance said ¥ 54,000 for three people

Please press button!

 ¥ 18,000 per person. It is still high. (Sweat)

We  really want to go to this concert

Oh well.

Fun for now.

So I chose Fukuoka program A

Or Rachmaninov third

Is No. 3 even more virtuosic than the second?

But perhaps Program B [Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3] is really better,

as it is only performed three times in the nation.

It cannot be helped.

Anyway, I will soon discover from Lawson the outcome.

Oh, now I need to face up to coming up with ¥ 54,000 [Editorial: about 550 USD].

テレビで～

先 程、こちらのローカルテレビ番組にピアニストの辻井伸行さんが生出演されてて、スタジオで生演奏もされてたのですが、演奏が終わってトークの時、カラオケ にも行かれて、演歌が好きとおっしゃって、「何方が？」の質問に「氷川きよしさんが好きです」とおっしゃってました＼(^o^)／

辻井さんは何年か前にコンクールに優勝されたインタビューでもきよし君の名前を出されてましたが、今でもきよし君の歌がお好きなんだとお聞き出来て嬉しかったです♪♪♪

辻井さんの素晴らしいピアノ演奏を聴けて、思わぬ所できよし君のお名前が聴けて、機嫌よく夕飯の支度が出来そうです♪

どこかで辻井さんときよし君との共演、実現しないかなぁ～

お二人でご一緒のところ、みてみたいなぁ～

Earlier, pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii pianist made a live appearance on local TV show, and also performed music live in the studio.

When talk after playing, he mentioned that he likes enka and going to karaoke, and that he likes Mr. Hikawa [Kiyoshi Hikawa, "Prince of enka"]

Although I heard Mr. Tsujii mentioned the name of Mr. Kiyoshi in an interview after he won the contest a few years ago,

I was glad to hear that the songs of Mr. Kiyoshi are still his favorite.

To have listened to the great piano music of Mr. Tsujii, and then hearing the name of Mr. Kiyoshi so unexpectedly,

surely put me in a good mood in preparation of dinner.

I wonder if it is possible for Mr. Tsujii and Mr. Kiyoshi to co-star somewhere,  those two together.

オリンピックコンサート

オリンピック招致記念のコンサートがあって、ＳｔａｒＳも出演するし、辻井伸行氏も演奏するというので、行ってきた。ひょっとして、スケートで金メダルだった羽生君も来るかと期待したが、残念ながら、今回は欠席。ソチで活躍した選手の話を聞いたり、豊富を聞いたり。

後半にはコンサートも。

演奏中、大画面にオリンピックのハイライト映像がず～っと流れていて、まぁわかるんだけど、映像ジャマ、とか思ってしまった。単なるＢＧＭとかＣＤではないわけだし。

辻井君のような天才的、世界的ピアニストの演奏中に映像流しっぱなしってどうなのか。

辻井君が弾いたのは、ラフマニノフのピアノ協奏曲第二番。もう、素晴らしすぎて、手元をガン見。指が長い！手が大きい！きれい。やっぱね～～。

が、 何よりも驚いたのは、その演奏テクニックに情感。彼は全盲なので、譜面も見れないし、鍵盤も見れないから、音だけが頼り。それであの演奏？！すごすぎ る・・・！久々に「天才」と呼ぶにふさわしい人だと思った。周囲はＳｔａrS目的の人が多い感じがしたが、皆辻井君の世界に酔っていた。ＳｔａｒＳも相変 わらずトークおもしろいし、微妙に噛み合ってないところなんかも、彼ららしくて良かったし、歌も上手だったけど、やっぱり辻井君の前ではね・・。 ＳｔａｒＳの活動は今年、最初で最後との事だったので、見れてよかったけど、また来年、武道館とかやってほしいな・・・。

Olympic concert

I went to  a concert commemorating the Sochi Olympics. StarS appeared, as did Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii. I was expecting Mr. Habu the gold medalist in skating to come, but unfortunately, he was absent this time. We listened to the rich stories of the players who played in Sochi,

The concert was in the second half.

On the overhead big screen was shown highlight video of the Olympic Games, and the video was flowing during the performance of global genius pianist, as if the music is background music.

Mr. Tsujii played the Second Piano Concerto of Rachmaninov.  It was too great!  I saw his hands. Fingers are long!  Hands are large!  Beautiful.  Super.

But, more than anything else, I was surprised at the feeling in his playing techniques. He is a blind and cannot see music nor look at the keyboard, yet the sound si so assured.   So how does he perform so well? ! Too terrible

And for the first time in many years,  I thought it was a person worthy of being called "genius".

Many of the people were there to see StarS, but the atmosphere was that everyone

Was drunk to the world of Mr. Tsujii.

StarS gave interesting talks as usual,  something where we are not engaged in a subtle way,

It was good as they usually are, and the singing was good too,

It is performed in front of Mr. Tsujii after all

アマチュアである特権は、コピーが許されること。

私も趣味でずっとビアノを弾いています。

辻井さんのように指を伸ばして弾くのは、巨匠ホロヴィッツ独特の奏法ですね。

ピアノは打楽器のようなもので上から打ちおろすように弾くと、コツンというアタック音になってしまいます。

手首の力を抜いて、肘を使って円を描くように弾くと柔らかい音になります。

また腕の力に頼り過ぎずに、上体を乗せて弾くとフォルテが無理無く出すことができます。

後は、辻井さんの音をイメージして同じ曲をコピーすることがよろしいかと思います。

演奏者にとってこの音が出したいという想いは、とても大切ですね。

I think setting a goal to emit a sound like Mr. Tsujii is a very good thing.

It is a privilege for an amateur to imitate.

I am also playing the piano as a hobby.

Playing by extending the fingers as Mr. Tsujii is a unique style practiced by masters such as Horowitz.

When you play the piano by bringing your fingers down from the top it is like a percussion,  and you will have an attack sound like that of Kotsun.

When you play it in a circular motion using the elbow, it is a soft sound to unplug the power of the wrist.

You can also give Forte reasonably well without relying on the force of  the arms, using the upper body.

The bottom line is, I think, whether it is right for you to want to copy the same song in the image of the sound of Tsujii .

It is very important for a musician to desire to want to give a particular sound.

I recommend that you do whatever that gives you a real pleasure to enjoy the music as a hobby.

マスコミが一斉に話題にしまくったときに、

息子が通っているピアノ教室では、

生徒が皆、やたらと指を伸ばして弾きたがったようで、

先生が頭を抱えていらっしゃいました。

もちろん誰一人として、きちんとした音が出せていないし、

慣れていないので、指もうまく回らないしで、散々な状態に。

When Mr. Tsujii won the Chopin [Editor: I think Cliburn is meant] Competition, with all the talk on the media, all the students in the classroom seemed to want to play by extending the fingers excessively. 

Teachers suffered.  It was a terrible thing, as not everyone can put out sound neatly like that, as the fingers do not turn well.  That approach may be fine for young children, but not everyone should imitate that, and please return to playing according to ordinary basic!  I have been saying that everyday with a wry smile, "My son and I also tried to imitate that but it did not work at all." ...

Rather than imitating the appearance on how to play, I think it may be better to imitate the sound after learning to play the basics - I think that is a better goal.

Q: 趣味でピアノを弾いています。

辻井伸行さんのような音を出してみたくて、辻井さんのように指を伸ばして弾いてみたのですが、細やかな音はニュアンスもつけやすいですが、大きく強い音がつぶれてしまいます。

普段の私は割と指をたてて、上から打ちおろすような感じです。

芯のある澄んだ丸い音を出すにはこのほうがいいし、腕の重さもかけやすくフォルテも出しやすいので。

もちろんテクニックの差も体格もあるとは思うのですが、指を伸ばした弾きかたでフォルテを潰さずしっかり出すには、どんな技術、またコツなどあるのでしょうか？

I am playing the piano as a hobby.

I wanted to put out a sound like Nobuyuki Tsujii, and I tried to play by stretching the fingers as Tsujii.  Although it is easy to put nuances on a delicate sound, strong big sound would collapse.

By comparison, I normally would strike with my fingers from above, which does not give a round and clear sound, but is easier to put out the Forte and to make runs with the weight of the arms.

Although I think the difference in physique also affects the technique of course, but is there any tips on a technique to play Forte firmly but not crushingly with stretched fingers?

少なくとも趣味でピアノを弾く人が設定する目標ではありません。もっと目標を下げましょう。

辻井さんの出演するライブに僕は一度出演させていただいた(演奏は別)ことがありますが、技術もさることながら、感情の大きさに圧倒されましたね。

彼をひと言で例えるならば炎です。

もうピアノが炎上してしまうくらい、火柱が上がるような感情の起伏を感じます。

その曲にちりばめられた一つ一つの音の流れから、大きなドラマを作り、それを演じているのです。

あなたも、目の前の楽譜からドラマを作り上げて、そのストーリーを演じるということにチャレンジしてみてください。

The goal is too high.   It is not a target for someone playing the piano as a hobby to set at least. Let's lower the target more.

I once appeared in a live performance with Tsujii (playing something else) .  More than his technique, I was  overwhelmed by the magnitude of the emotions.

I would compare him to a flame on the piano,

I feel the emotional ups and downs, such as pillars of fire .

From the flow of each  sound studded in the work, he plays to make a big drama.

You too can  make up the drama from the score in front of you.

Please try to play with the challenge of telling a story.

録 画してた辻井伸行さんの特番見ながら、いつの間にか寝てた(￣▽￣) 眠りが浅くて、たまに聴こえるピアノが心地良かった。While watching specials of Nobuyuki Tsujii, which has been recorded, I was sleeping before I knew it.   The sleep is shallow, but the piano I heard  was a  good feeling.

Trust towards the world

Nobuyuki Tsujii, a Japanese pianist & composer, shared his “attitude toward the world” in his  interview with a British music critic.  Despite his blindness, he enjoys many activities. Not to mention his love of music and his incredible achievement as a pianist, he enjoys being in the nature and activities such as skiing and hiking. He enjoys challenges not because he is fearless but because he trusts the world.

I had an opportunity to hear a live performance of Beethoven’s 5th concerto piano concerto (Emperor) by Mr. Tsujii with Orpheus Chamber Orchestra a few months ago and I absolutely enjoyed it. The performance was dynamic but yet intimate, and very up-lifting. Learning a little bit more about Mr. Tsujii from articles and interviews, I see that his music is just like himself, cheerful, humble, and with very positive energy.

"If you give of your best, life will offer you something in return. Also, I find when you trust people, they reward your trust. That has been my experience. But maybe I'm just a very lucky person." - Nobuyuki Tsujii

室内楽コンサートもうすぐ

... 以前から温めていたカプースチン室内楽企画の第1弾、7月21日（月・祝）のトッパンホールでのコンサートも2週間後と迫りました。

そ ろそろ当日のプログラムのための曲目解説を誰かにお願いしなきゃと思っていたのですが、考えてみればカプースチンのヴィオラ・ソナタやチェロ・ソナタ、ピ アノ五重奏曲について書いてくれる人…いるわけないですよね。というわけで、自分で4,000字ほどの原稿を昨日書き上げて入稿しました。前の晩には辻井 伸行君のプレミアム・リサイタルを府中まで聴きに行ったりしていて…、最近もずっと朝から晩まで働いております。

でも、今回企画したコンサートは 決してクラシックマニア向けではないにしろ、貴重だと思う人にとってはかなり貴重な内容（プログラム）ではあると自負しているので、是非多くの人に聴いて ほしいと思っています。カプースチンは本当に凄いです！（フォーレとシューマンの演奏にももちろん力を入れています。）

当日はトークコンサートの形式で行う予定です

同 じピアノなのにこうも音が違うものか。とにかく澄み切っている。そのイメージで音を聞いているからか。先入観で感じているのか。自問自答してみた。失礼だ がピアノ教室の先生とは音がまるで違っていた。誰もがそれを感じるから一万円のチケットも売り切れるのだろう。辻井伸行さん。素晴らしかった。 The sound coming from the same piano can be so different.  It is crystal clear anyway. Or because the sound is heard with an image in mind.  Perhaps there is some prejudice. I tried to ask myself. It's rude, but the sound was totally different from my piano teacher. ラ フマニノフが晩年過ごした家、スイス。湖畔の家を辻井伸行氏が訪れ、尊敬する作曲家、ピアニストのぬくもりを感じていらっしゃ様子がＴＶで映し出されてい た。庭にでると藤の花が満開でありその香りをかいでいらっしゃる様子が印象的であった。おそらく私たちがその香りを嗅ぐ以上に嗅ぎこまれていたに違いな い。ラフマニノフの曲の音がピアノの鍵盤以上に創作されて演奏されているように。自然の景色の美しさを音に託す作曲家は多い。風の音、木々の揺れの音はも とより、光の移り変わる音、雲の流れる音、湖の湖面に映し出される景色の音、これらは特別な嗅覚で音に伝達されていくのであろう。藤の花の香りはバラの成 分、スズランの成分がかさなりあっているいわゆる花、ミツバチの好む香りである。ラフマニノフはロシアから苗を取り寄せたとのこと、日本の藤の花の香りと は異なっているかもしれないが。

Mr. Nobuyuki Tsujii visited the lakeside home of the respected composer.  The warmth of the pianist [Nobu?] is seen on the screen of my TV set.  Out in the garden there was impressive wisteria in full bloom.   The scent must have been profuse.  He [Nobu?] is a composer committed to the sound of the beauty of the natural landscape. BBC Prom 2014 will be held July 18 Saturday to September 13  Saturday.
