Providing Context 

A strong satire has a clear target, but you can't assume everyone knows why you are mocking this target.  Some satires need to start by providing necessary context.  Notice how the first 35 seconds of this sketch provide the audience with context about a growing problem that some women may be dealing with:










This is in reference to a real study about the decline in male social circles.

This PSA start with the context of teens being criticzed as dangerous and dstrafcted drivers.
