Annotating

In this podcast Kwik talks about a method of annotating in which you utilize the left side of the page to CAPTURE and the right side of the page to CREATE.

To CAPTURE is to notice or identify something that the writer did.

To CREATE is to have an original thought about that choice, a question about that choice, or an idea about that choice.

Capture: The author uses a lot of informal language in this paragraph.

Create: The informal diction makes a very academic subject, that would usually intimidate me, seem easier to understand.
