AP Exam-Parent Info

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Your student is enrolled in at least one AP course at Shawnee High School for the 2025-2026 school year. If your student intends to take any AP exams, you must complete two separate steps—a digital registration and a payment—to place the order. All students must complete the College Board decision, even if they choose not to take an exam. The deadline for all decisions and payments is Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

1. Required: Indicate Exam Decision in College Board (All Students)

Every student must log into their College Board account and officially register their intent for each course.

• Have your student log into their College Board account.

• In each AP course tab, click the blue “Register for Exam” button.

• Select which exams they intend to take and which exams they do not intend to take.

2. Required: Pay for Exams via School Cash Online (Students Taking Exams Only)

If your student is taking one or more exams, payment must be completed separately. Payments can be made starting October 1, 2025 and are due by November 5, 2025.

• Go to School Cash Online.

• Select the specific AP exam(s) your child will take in May.

• The cost is $103 per exam.

• Pay for the exams.

Please note: Your student’s exam will ONLY be ordered once they have completed the Exam Decision in College Board (Step 1) AND the payment on School Cash Online (Step 2).

Deadlines, Fees, and Important Notes

• Regular Registration and Payment Deadline: All exam decisions and full payments must be completed by Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The cost is $103 per exam. This is the final day to avoid late fees.

• Late Registration: Students can still order exams after the November 5th deadline, up until March 6, 2026. However, the College Board charges an additional $40 late fee per exam. 

• Exam Cancellation Fee: If you decide to cancel an exam after it has been ordered, you will be charged a $40 cancellation fee per exam.
