Tone Answer (education)

Education is, I suppose, a process everyone goes through. You show up, sit in a room, and listen to someone talk for hours. Facts are presented, you're expected to remember them for a test, and then you mostly forget them. It’s a system of progressing from one grade to the next, collecting credits and a final piece of paper that suggests you’re ready for something else. Whether it actually prepares you for anything is another question entirely, but it's what you're supposed to do. It fills the years and checks a box on the path to whatever comes next. 

The tone of the paragraph is apathetic because it portrays education with a deliberate lack of interest, emotion, and concern. Apathy is characterized by indifference, and the writing achieves this through its word choice, sentence structure, and overall message.
