When painting flowers like asters, it seems easy to paint them all round as if they are all facing directly toward the viewer. However, that isn't realistic. In order to paint a cluster of blossoms in a more realistic manner, the flower shapes with the petals in place should be ovals of various sizes and angles with the stamens still where the centers of the blossoms should be. It is okay to have a few round ones.
