Here in two versions is the Japanese word purimura (primrose) for those who want to practice their calligraphy. The most commonly used version uses the phonetic katakana syllabary.
This is the hiragana version.
These are relatively simple sketches of primroses for practice.
Note that most of the painting is done using the mokkotsu-hō technique.
