This next sketch is more detailed and was modeled from a real plant I bought on Monday.
My intension for this week's painting is to demonstrate the kōrokutensai-hō technique. It combines senbyō-hō (line strokes) with mokkotsu-hō (boneless or no lines) strokes. Either can be done first. I started with senbyō-hō to do the second of the two sketches above. I then used mokkotsu-hō to fill in the color.
