Calligraphy
Calligraphy
There are two words this week for those who want to practice their calligraphy. The first word is inaho (rice grain) using the hiragana phonetic syllabary.
The next word is kakashi (scarecrow) using kanji.
Sketches
Sketches
These two sketches are relatively simple images for practice. The first is a scarecrow (kakashi).
Next is a rice plant.

Demonstration Painting
My painting is a copy, mostly, of the one by Hara Zaisen that I showed in 7.1. This practice is called mosha, and it means copy, reproduction, or a facsimile. It doesn't matter so much in class, but when doing it in serious art, it should be acknowledged.
