These relatively simple sketches of hōzuki (Japanese lantern) are for practice.
I use the kōrokutensai-hō technique in this painting. That is senbyō-hō (lines) combined with mōkkōtsu-hō, color fill inside. It doesn't matter which comes first. Cream colored paper was used.
