Hydrangea

Calligraphy

These are the phonetic hiragana characters for ajisai for those of you who would like to practice their calligraphy.

Below is a sketch of an ajisai that uses only senbyō-hō (line) strokes. The Japanese writing says ao iro no ajisai for blue-colored hydrangea, though there is no blue in the sketch. This is a good opportunity to use your imagination and perhaps some blue gansai if you wish.
