Here is the kanji ideogram for take (bamboo) for those who want to practice their calligraphy.

Demonstration Painting

My demonstration painting was mostly done with mokkotsu-hō. Sanboku-hō (three shades of sumi) was used for the trunk. The birds in my original painting were browner than it appears below. For some reason, brown becomes reddish when I scan it in. That happens with a lot of my paintings.
