Kakitsubata

The painting techniques used in this week's subject are the basic senbyō-hō (line drawing) and mokkotsu-hō (boneless) strokes.

The sketch below is good practice for senbyō-hō strokes. It depicts the Louisiana Iris.

For those of you who want to practice your calligraphy, the characters below are kanji for kakitsubata.
