Demonstration Painting

This is what I painted this week using a piece of marbled paper that I made using suminagashi.

Care must be taken to choose the right paper. Marbled paper that has too much marbling or marbling in the wrong places can obscure or interfere with your painting. The paper I used for this painting just happened to come out that way. With a little practice and foresight, it might be possible to deliberately produce marbled paper that complements your painting. If you can't find a good match, then painting on unmarbled paper is perfectly okay.
