Calligraphy

The kanji characters below are the word for tachiaoi (hollyhocks) for those who want to practice their calligraphy.

This relatively simple sketch of hollyhocks is for practice.

Demonstration Painting

In my guidance, I said to use mokkotsu-hō for the petals, followed by outlines. This is the kōrokutensai-hō technique. If the mokkotsu-hō is done well enough so that the individual petals are easily distinguished, the outlining is unnecessary.
